ACO's Dailymotion channel (the one that shows the boring studio+pitcam feed during sessions) is doesn't go off-air but instead shows nonstop highlights from past years... with only car sounds:
http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x10uqt7 And some other random vids. Good background noise for next two days. Last edited by deggis; 11 Jun 2014 at 22:49. |

I capped some onboards from the ACO onboard channels during the race and this I got the right time:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVc7tQfeMlc 20+ minute segment from the race when Mardenborough was leading, and started lapping fast, setting fastest lap at least twice. Imho, just very rare to see onboard (from this angle) during the race when a driver is really pushing. Also happens to be just when it visibly turns to dark. ps. Mandatory rant: why can't they use this angle for P1 cars too. |

I get headache from just seconds of listening it.
Is Toyota's V8 simply loud enough to hide the sound? Because it's never been audible. Last edited by deggis; 26 Jun 2014 at 03:46. |

Yes... gets easily hidden under the combustion engine noise and other sounds in the broadcast.
ACO should do something about the onboard sound quality. It's just horrible with the louder cars. |

That is indeed an awesome video!! Really well shot and great mix of music and background noise. Well done Luke . Great to see Liuzzi enjoying himself also. |

Timo Bernhard giving it the beans at Homburger Bergrennen in a 911 GT3 Cup, in the wet. Committed.
Nice to see Porsche keeping their WEC boys busy. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Jg_rZIBRVrg |

Romain Dumas winning the big one earlier this year. Some way off Loeb's crazy record but still stupidly quick. Mesmerising.

I won't post links to them, mostly because there's so many of them and most of the vids are insanely long for You Tube clips, but there's tons of lengthy onboards from Audi, Toyota and Porsche at Le Mans this year on You Tube for those intrepid enough to watch them.
Here's a link to this fellow's You Tube Page: https://www.youtube.com/user/slipstreamlms/videos |

Surprised that Bernhard's and Dumas' contracts actually allow hillclimbing... and other one even in a non-Porsche car. Not the safest forms of motorsport.

That's some of the best trackside footage I've ever seen.
And so fresh looking too, for a period in time when Crockett and Tubbs were still rocketing the streets with the Testarossa. |

This is insane. Makes you wonder what the Targa Florio must have been like.

It was great to have the Group C Championship at Zandvoort.(allthough with a slighty meager grid) Shame the track was partly wet and slippery.
I saw the Sauber do 256km/h along the start/finish straight on the Saturday. Also the green Tiga clipped the 250 barrier. Great stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxsBSvib4qo |

Lovely to have footage of the often forgotten time in FIA GT, the Viper show... I mean the immediate post original-GT1 period. Monza 99 with Richard Nichols. Oh those retro tunes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLe3o0CgDV4 One thing that has never seemed to change with SRO is the uncertainty over the calendar at the start of the season... and middle... |
