If Vettel is still in contention for the championship after Brazil, surely Horner will slot him into into an Arden for the GP2 Asia test in Abu Dhabi to save on the engine mileage in practice

In this mood, Nelsinho could test with his own Piquet Sports team. But will not to do so.

GP2 - Jerez Test 6th-8th Oct
SO tomorrow see's the start of a 3 day test. Several drivers testing with multiple teams (Clos, D'Ambrosio) but im sure all eyes will be on 3 individuals making returns/debuts.
Bruno Senna is in for iSport to lay down some benchmarks for new drivers. Sebastian Loeb is in for DPR. Much mooted as prep for an F1 appearance at Abu Dhabi. and Felipe Massa making a return to single seaters after 2 months on his sick bed. Dunno who he is running with, but its for a FIA medical assesment. Could Fez really be thinking of getting him back for Sao Paulo??? I'm sure theyre will be plenty to discuss as the week wears on. |

I'm mostly interested to see how Ericsson and Turvey go. Not many exciting names at the test (Senna and Loeb don't really count) so these two could be interesting.
I'm suprised not to see guys like Brendon Hartley have a go, maybe we'll see him at Paul Ricard. d'Ambrosio as well. He has been with Dams a long time it will be interesting to see how quick he is in a different car. |

I too am looking forward to seeing how Ericsson fares, he really is an exciting prospect for the future. And also Fabio Leimer. GP2 is one of his options for next year, but with his long-time team Jenzer Motorsport being awarded a place in the new GP3 series, who knows, he could possibly end up there.
Does anyone know what's happening with Mika Maki? It doesn't look like he'll be testing at Jerez, but I'd have thought we would see him at Paul Ricard in November. He hasn't had the best second season in the F3 Euroseries, but he's still a respectable seventh in the standings with four races left. If he doesn't land a GP2 seat, then I can see a potential opening for him in WSR, possibly at Carlin as that is where Red Bull tend to put their drivers (Aleshin, Alguersuari etc.) Of course, that is if Red Bull decide to keep him in their program for 2010 |

Also at Chilton. Maybe he should follow his brother. Can't wait to compare Rossi with Leimer, though. Who are all the first timers in this group? |

Hopefully Rossi will end up in F3 or GP3. Think he'll run GP2 Asia?

Originally his plan was 2 years in GP2 ( 2010-2011) , but it was also reported that he might be thinking about GP3. And he is going to test formula3 car soon ( likely signature , why ? for macau ?! ). My guess - its all about money , 50\50 between Gp2 and Gp3 in 2010. |

I'd also like to see Daniel Ricciardo, but I assume he's going to WSbR... Slightly different subject, but does anyone know if there are any changes planned for the Dallara bodywork? Racing hasn't exsactly been brilliant these past two season, I hope they have something planned. What could they do though that would improve the situation? Maybe removing the chimneys would be a start. Would removing the lowest 3rd tier of the rear wing help? Anybody got any (no doubt, better) ideas? |

What's going on with Hartley, is he after WSbR title? I hope Maki will get a chance, he's quite a handy driver, won on his debut in F3ES!
James Jakes is a strange one, didn't drive anything all year since GP2 Asia and testing last year with Super Nova and now testing again with them... |

Red Bull still doesn't seem to send their drivers to GP2. Coletti still has a bit of support (and Loeb aswell..) but with Hartley, Ricciardo, Aleshin, Bortolotti, Wickens, Mäki and Afanasiev they have lots of drivers that could drive GP2.

Can't see Loeb making it to Abu Dhabi now. That's pretty slow, considering the guy on top hadn't driven a GP2 car before yesterday - I know Seb hadn't driven one before today, but he's driven an F1 car a few times, so it cancels out
But some very impressive rookie performances this week. The future's bright for the junior series world. I see the current crop matching the famed 2006 generation that everyone raves about |

Ericsson was much quicker today with ART than he was yesterday with iSport.
It was wet for the morning session. |

Loeb also did less running in the drier afternoon session that the first one which I find puzzling? I don't think we've seen half the rookies that are likely to be looking at GP2 for next season yet though have we jab? The Top few Euroseries, Brit F3 and WSR 3.5 drivers haven't been out yet have they? I fully expect Perez to return to GP2, either with ART or Barwa, as well. Anyone know if he's planning on doing the Asia series? |
