It's a closed meeting I'm afraid, formed up from technical committee members, scrutineers and the comp sec.
Thats no bad thing Stacy (sorry about the spelling before, I am in the sign and print business after all!) really from my experience with the Racing Saloon Car Club when I was running it. We tried to be democratic and vote rule changes in at an annual drivers meeting but it produced some crazy decisions when Rent-a-Mob turned up (eg. de turboed Cosworths ). I take it limited production stuff like RS500's with Getrag boxes and evolution M3's etc will not be allowed in the 5000 build Group 1 format.

I will add to that as well. These 'Flying Pickets' rough rolling in rule changes also did not realise the amount of work they caused me rewritting everything and how one rule change can upset the whole balance of the rest of the regs, eg. Freedom of wheel diameters, result mega expensive 18 inch tyres and 14 inch brakes became the must have one guy even turned up with these on a mk 11 Escort and the less said about a certain Maestro Turbo the better, Carlo Fandango had nothing on that one. I spent many many hours when I first formulated the regulations for the Championship and to be honest I still think they were better in their original format, at least I had 140 registered drivers then so others must have liked them too!

COLIN STUBBS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

you hit the nail on the head there al and im afraid many a championship has been ruined by this kinda agm thing.the cscc had a fantastic set of regs for pre65 when it first came out and if they had stuck to it they would still have a championship which would cater for entry level cars[steel wheels, bumpers, etc],but renta crowd wanted alloys, race tyres, lots of wavers for certain cars, etc, and instantly half the field was uncompetitive and renta crowd then began to go and play somewhere else! i couldnt get my head round a ruling they allowed to remove alternate slats from the front grille to help cooling[?],but insisted on keeping the rear side trims in"to make the cars look original".

Pre-93's is only going to take off if the heavily modified stuff stays with CT, yes.

For what it's worth though, the majority of the Sierra Cosworths, if they ran treaded tyres and the Group N restrictor, would be a reasonable fit with Pre-93. The pace of those cars would not be out of place on the grid - and I'm comparing them to the lap times I've had out of my Pre-83 Group 1 RX7 on Dunlop D84's.

Not into Pre-93, no. They are CT material, the current Pre-90 regs within CT preclude RS500's so it wouldn't make any sense to change that when we break out that championship to run alone with it's extended date of Pre-93.
