He means the old GT1, from the BPR days. In which yes, the initial McLaren F1 GTRs were not very heavily modified from their street counterparts, but the latter versions ('97 Long Tail) were more extensively custom.

Yes the Enzo not the F40
1995 is too long ago to be considered. Look at cars of past 3-4 years and for what the new rules will be for 2010 to 2015 or there abouts.
