Awesome, entertaining day of racing.
Couple of very SPOOKY moments up top. Tickford co-drivers blotting the copybook already, after totally screwing their teams at Sandown. Mutterings of Sandbagging supposedly "admitted" by Ryan Walkinshaw, but if you ran around all day doing long runs wouldn't you tell other teams you had full tanks? These cars have no anti-roll bars and no roll centre adjustment so I'd think the team that lifts the trophy on Sunday isn't the one that spends it's time doing a hollywood time on Thursday. Particularly enjoyed the codriver session - the amount of Super2 talent in there is amazing. So many young guys coming along. Plenty of guys in the twilight of their careers, and if the likes of Percat and Hazelwood don't get a wriggle on, these youngers will have their seats. On top of that the cars look and sound great, and all the liveries look awesome on these cars. |

Come race day, the brake changes are going to be the difference.
T8 seem to be the only ones on top of it. |

Will be interesting to see how the cars go after 5 or 6 hard race laps when the tyres start to go away.. plenty of scary moments and wiggles in practice.. |

Young blokes, cold tyres, stuffed up (clean version, paraphrasing LP). Weird start - unsettling for all.

Is the word faux pas the one that LP used?

Damaging the Doulton. While he may not be everybody's cup of tea, there is a noticeable void without him.

It was very close to a 7/3 split if SVG didn't pull one out. If Supercars pushed the parity changes and it ended up even a 7/3 or 8/2 split. Supercars would be looking pretty silly tonight. That's why it wasn't pushed. The chance of coming out covered in glory would be very slim. The Ford teams have done a good job of talking their chances down at Bathurst from a long way out. I have not viewed the car issues being talked about being at there worst at this track. The Mustang having more front end may not be the worst thing to have Sunday afternoon, everyone was looking for front end tonight. The Mustang Tyre deg has not seemed to be the burning issue it was earlier in the year. I will not be at all suprised to see a ford on the step Sunday night. Fuel burn is what I'm waiting to see.

One lap pace is not in question. It is the pace over a stint that is the concern of the Ford Teams. |
