K, figured you would know exactly which chassis it was. Was a pretty inglorious end for that one, spun in practice alone in the Esses wasn't it? Always ran a wild Mustang in WC, was a SERIOUS build-up to make a competitive car

And I am pretty sure many cars have met their demise at that very same section of concrete.

After a few google searches I think the Genoa Ford is a in-house build. Originally built to compete in the 25 hours of Thunderhill. The body work on it looks close to the Doran Fords.
Dang... almost forgot how nice the GT looked in ACS colors. Shame about that effort, and it happened right in front of me that year at PLM. |

The Robertson Racing Ford GT's are at Sebring this weekend running the SVRA event with Dave and Andrea driving. Found this: http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...hases-ford-gt/ Last edited by HJJ; 31 Jan 2013 at 17:13. |

Also, the same weekend ACS wrote theirs off, Matech was in the Petit paddock shopping their GTE version of the Ford GT around. I was lucky enough to see the package but they were clearly on a fishing expedition. They did not appear to have any solid leads. |

Would certainly be nice to see one or more of those Doran cars run in this year's championship.

What's the difference between the Matech and the Doran? I know the Matech used to run in GT3 and then GT1, but that car was 2100mm wide, isn't the Doran slimmer? I don't follow these closely but I was always a fan of the Matech version of the car.

Thanks, couldn't remember when it lapsed. You have to love folks who are so passionate as to spend a good chunk of their net worth to pursue their dreams. It was probably a pleasure to work with them. He made it pretty clear without a major sponsor 2010 was it. Bryan Wilman said the same in 2011, he wanted to continue but didn't want to go broke racing. Others are not so smart...

Is this the only series in North America where GT3's are allowed to run? I haven't seen discussion on these forums of any others.
