I think part of the problem is that McLaughlin has a rather extreme car setup that demands a certain driving style which Permat/Dahlgren/Wall/Moffat Jr./Coulthard can't really adapt to. (From the looks of it, McLaughlin likes a rather oversteering car with minimal downforce, much like Lowndes, Whincup and SVG)

Interesting hearing Stanaway's laying of blame for his poor year last year at the feet of Tickford, and the mention of a performance clause in his contract. It got me wondering, does he have a performance clause in his current contract? Would the clause be with Boost or GRM? And what if, at the end of 2019 GRM want to punt Stanaway, but Boost want to keep him?

If you believe the stories, VASA chose not to sell the RECs already available to Mr Adderton &co... for reasons not communicated...

Perhaps the offer wasn't high enough?

https://www.supercars.com/news/champ...upercars-team/ https://www.motorsport.com/v8superca...-2019/4321084/ Boost Mobile founder Peter Adderton made a serious play to start an all-new Supercars team before completing the shock sponsorship deal that has landed Richie Stanaway at Garry Rogers Motorsport for the 2019 season. |

I thought one of the reason's was it was too late in the season to start a new team for 2019 so he went with a 3 year naming rights sponsor with GRM?

I imagine stuff like the WPS experience would be in their minds, with the patron also the car sponsor. Concerns would likely exist about the sustainability of a team relying on an internal source of funds... when the interest stops, so perhaps does the viability of the racing operation...

Perhaps not turfing Mr Tander may have resulted in a ZB passing a Mustang given the former pilots ability to scythe through the field on race day |

If Boost were all about being young and hip why haven’t they switched from dads four door sedan/hatchback to a muscle car?? Or is that the plan for next year after the buyout later this year??

Perhaps the toy-chucking over parity, and previously the V6TT option are/were reasons?
It seems to me that Mr Adderton isn't someone who is prepared to play the ball as it lies? |

If Stanaway and/or Golding don't perform, there are many great young talents like Fullwood, B. Kostecki or W. Brown who may do a great job! Hopefully Mr. Adderton would approve of the signing of these young guns. |

Any new news about Kelly Racing's replacement after the Nissan Altima is retired from main game duties at the end of the season? Are they still going to go with Kia as per rumours?

They stated some time ago they're still chasing manufacturer deal, however as tims goes by it gets less and less likely.
