Well I'd penalise Dernai for that. But...it's identical to what Jarvis did to the 10.

#6 rubs car #31 - nothing happens
#31 rubs car #6, #6 off. Drive-through for #31. Sure, Race Control doing a good job once more -- They had that coming after Road Atlanta. |

I only watched the Jarvis/Scott incident in replay and it seems crazy Jarvis was not penalized. JPM's bump coming out of the hairpin was not pretty, but Deranis move seemed like a "red mist" move.

That's unfortunate for the race and the championship.

You think so?
I think Race Control caused that all by themselves by not doing anyhting against the Acura. RC has been SO inconsistent in at least 2 of the last 3 races. If what Taylor did at Road Atlanta was OK, then why was this not OK? |

I completely agree with Hindy. Whilst the move might seem unacceptable, IMSA said it was fine at Road Atlanta, and it was fine for Jarvis on the 10 today. IMSA endorsed that type of racing. You can't blame the drivers when you ok it.

That was a blatant NASCAR-style retaliation move. Doesn't help anybody. |

Pipo gets back out, as does the #3 vette.
Man I don't know what to think of the Whelen/Acura scraps. Road Atlanta T6 - Kinda fault the Acura Laguna Practice - BIG fault to the Acura Sebring T7 - Montoya didn't need to hip check the wide running Derani Sebring - Big fault to Derani. You stuck your nose in and kept it there for a time while your competitor spun. RC could have sent a message a while ago. Kinda feel they did this to themselves, and hot racing drivers on the verge of a championship aren't exactly reasonable creatures. |

I don't agree with the move itself, but you can't turn a blind eye at one eye race (and by doing so agree with it), ignore it once more in this race, and then punish a 3rd driver for what is basically 3 times the same thing.

If Derani doen't want the Acura to win the championship, they can let the #10 by and go set between it and the #7 in the last half hour or so.
That too would send out a message... |

Before I go to bed, a special shout-out to IMSA for making their bad app worse. Apart from how terrible it looks, it isn’t actually showing this race. Next race is Daytona and no current live coverage.
It’d be nice if IMSA and WEC entered the modern era with apps that weren’t badly made 8 years ago and then never updated. |

To be fair the F1 App also doesn't stream sessions - have to use a browser to watch.
GTD looking close right now. |
