That power advantage clearly helps but I wouldn't call that an OP BOP. Also as already mentioned, Caddy was always strong here starting in the DPi days and the new car also loves this track.

That's true, especially here, Belle Isle and others. It is made tough, and can withstand the punishment, but when the sun sets the Porsche comes alive and gets speedy.

I find it interesting that in WEC we always hear complaints about BOP and about cars being dominant
Meanwhile in IMSA the Caddys have had pole position at all races so far this year and were the fastest cars in all races but failed to win due to errors, crashes , great 30 mins drive by Nasr in Daytona until Long Beach, yet no one is complaining about it(not saying people should)
I guess the nature of IMSA races with a load of FCYs and restarts helps to mask a cars advantage
Finally again interesting how the Caddys are dominant in IMSA but struggling in WEC for performance

Man, we had to make a whole thread for that instead of in race. It's there but there isn't the bs argument about "purity" of the sport. Possibly the single dumbest thing I hear about sport is the purity of the idea, like it was plucked off a tree in the wilderness

Interesting on the line graph that all the cars stayed with very similar P/W ratios through last season, then diverged this year and are finally getting back to similar.

tomcug should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Problem for Lambo is that they can't go as light as 1031 kg, according to what some sources claim. Still it'll be interesting to see how they do vs the rest.

I forgot about that. Yes - it doesn’t help.

Still at least they aren’t pandering to it and giving them more power or increasing everyone if it is still the case.

Update. On reflection IMSA decide the BoP for BMW was better in Detroit.
