It's a GT4 Light car like the KTM.
Also used for a one make series. |

As the onemake-series is gone now as Peugeots sportscar programme more of them should give the Lotus, KTM and Donkeys a run in supersport. Don´t know where they are running now. |

Just looking back at the GT4 era. I'm suprise Porsche didn't make a factory race ready GT4 Porsche. They have every race car, factory made/ready above the GT4 level. Im pretty sure if Porsche did decide to made a small number of GT4 cars, they would sell like hotcakes.

The factory should still have offered a GT4 Cayman, though, as well. |

I vaguely remember some company making plans to race the Cayman in GT4 but nothing much came of it-probably because of Porsche's apparent displeasure at such plans.

There have been a few tries at a GT4 Cayman. Most recent was an Italian outfit called StarCars in 2012

Last year Italian Ginetta's were part of Euro GT4. This year they have an own "GT4" series.
With entries scarce not a good move. |

Porsche being officially involved in GT4 with the Cayman also spells well for the future of the class. |

Perhaps the future of the GT4 could be more promising if they go for overall victory in 24 hours of Nurburgring.

I thought GT4 cares had been disallowed from the VLN (as well as GT 3 cars) inhe wake of the accident recently at the Ring?

Good deal of growth for the series over the first round as well!
Now if the Italian Ginettas were still on board, this would actually be a very good field. |
