I know there have been some great deluges in the past, but I don't recall it raining during the actual 12 hours in the past 10 years or so. It's rained many times on the Thursday or Friday before, but somehow it always seems to clear out by raceday.

Anyway, keeping on that point, in the last 24 hours, the weather channel has dropped the chance of rain on Saturday from 80% to 40% to 30% and now to 20%, with a much higher percentage on the sunday after now.

Back up to 80% now . I don't know why I bother looking at any forecast more than a day ahead of time. I hope it doesn't rain too much. From what I've seen in the past, the frontstraight is the most treacherous part of the track in the rain, with puddles forming in the troughs leading to serious hydroplaning.

Actually I disagree with that, corvette DP engine has a torque peak of about 620Nm, with most of torque curve under 600Nm however, revving up to 7000-7500rpm; while the HPD engine, unlikely could reach >700Nm as the ford 3.5 V6 used to do, but for sure revs close to 6500rpm with >600Nm for the whole torque curve, even with the most recent turbo boost cut. Because of that I don't think will be this the main issue for MSR, but the usual one... drivers... just look at daytona, ESM and MSR, same package, different drivers, different pace and results.

MSR showed race winning pace with Allmendinger in the car, but I do think that having a pro-am driver line up will hinder them.

The catch 22 being that the main reason why MSR have the Ligier and are going to LM is that the am driver is paying for all of that.

Does kind of seem like it will be another contest among the main DP teams, doesn't it? #5 and #31 AXR, #10 WRT, with #90 and ESM as wild cards--thought he #90 does have a butt-kicking driver line-up.

I would really like to see the #62 win Sebring, but the IMSA BoP is so against them. The Vettes get 104 liters of fuel, BMW gets 102 and the Ferrari gets only 79 liters plus the Ferrari has a smaller refueling neck to slow the delivery and the Ferrari also has the smallest intake restrictor of all the GTLM teams....it's so obvious that IMSA does not want a foreign car to beat the domestics. It would not surprise me if Chevy and Ford has something to do with that....RISI didn't win a single race last season which has never happend before to them. At least RISI got a LeMans invite and will be going so they can run the new 488 without the crap IMSA BoP.......you'll see RISI real pace at LeMans, but in the US, they get royally screwed...I got this info from a very reliable source, a RISI pit crew member who I'm friends with on Facebook...

fuel tank size is determined by the manufactures stating their maximum air/fuel ratios.

I wonder why MotorsTV isn't showing the races live this season. Increased fee? Bummer anyhow but at least it seems we get them tape delayed.

it's just FP, but GTLM are still too slow than expected. The 2016 aero should fit better for sebring than daytona.
