Did we see in race 4 nose to tail contact under waved yellow flags?

Hopefully Tim and co in race control will grow some and start parking these guys.

Yellow flags are waved for a reason and touching up your fellow competitor is not one of them.

Garry Rogers is hilarious, and thinks that Jamie Whinchip was hard done by in his penalty for squeezing Scotty Mac off the road:

Quote:
“To be quite honest, I think he was harshly penalised in that,” Rogers told v8supercars.com.au.

“Look, I would be disappointed in my drivers if they hadn’t have done the same thing – you’ve got to try and hold your position. And someone’s seen he’s perhaps carried it a little too far, but my opinion is he was just doing what he is paid to do.”...

His comment on the Roland Dane/Ryan Walkinshaw spat:

Quote:
“That’s what we need! I don’t know whether Ryan wears makeup or whether Roland Dane sits down on the dunny, I don’t know, but really I find that quite amusing!” he joked. “I dress up as a girl... I’ll dress up anything that makes people laugh!”
I love Garry, I have swept the floors at the old GRM base in Glen Waverley many years ago... We need personalities in the sport and at least this stuff between Dane and Walkinshaw has got people talking...

I don't know?? He didn't pass SVG. It looks like a fairly "light touch".

Nothing in the regulations state you can't "rub" the car in front while in a yellow flag sector.
It's probably a little cheeky and bordering on being a bit on the unsportmanship side, but
it's hardly the crime of the century.

If it were under safety car conditions, or he punted him off, now that would be a different matter.

It may seem minor, but once upon a time drivers would slow under double yellow flags. And we were appalled when a driver would use that to gain an advantage.

These days not only do they not slow, but it is apparently acceptable to make contact under double yellow flags.

For all we know, Mr van Gisbergen may have been in the process of brake-checking.
