Those (i'm assuming) Italian cameraman are pretty strange. Why the heck do we want to look at Briatories eye? Shots inside the garage when theirs action out on the track (directors fault). Alonso's puncture (YES!!!!), why don't we have a look at the damage as well?
Strange indeed Speedblood |

Crikey - I wake up early with a hangover in a hostel in Toronto, and find that the TV room is occupied by people watching the bloody Everton vs. Liverpool footie game...could someone sum up to me in 20 words or less what is going on with the qualifying thus far?

Raikkonen takes pole by 2 thousanths from MS..... stunning effort..
great recovery from Alonso to snatch p5.... I expect Kimi and Nick to be pretty light....although in the case of BMW....they have been on Ferrari's tale in free practice.... it could be an intriguing race... |

Awesome job by kimi
Although I agree with ralf fan, its probably more down to fuel than a significant car improvement. |

Fantastic for the future ferrarista... It'll be interesting to see if Alonso gets penalised... That would reopen the championship!

I was wondering if he may get a penalty, but look who's team mate complained! Conspiracy theory anyone?

The date didn't really go well, huh... He should have brought flowers perhaps?
Jokes aside, strange decission. Why 10? If he was found guilty, why not 10 places down? (what was the outcome of Fissi JV at Nurburgring?) Given those 0.5 to 2 seconds penalties in past couple years, it increasingly looks like the stewards are just rolling some dices and take their decissions upon them... |

Massa never appeared to me to ever be within a second of Alonso.
This decision stinks, it truly does. |

Started seperate thread on this (feels merge coming on).Don't see what Massa's problem was.Surely he can't complain about "dirty air"?

Not another "conspiracy theory" thread i hope.
It is unfortunate, and i wasnt sure what is the exact or standard (if any) penalty exist in the rulebooks to cover such infractions. I don't think Alonso really went all out to impede Massa, and given that Alonso has little time left to start his timed run, there's little alternatives. But it is also quite obvious that Massa wasn't able to exploit and go clean (and probably getting pole) due to the presence of the Renault ahead. In that sense, he was impeded by Alonso and a penalty will be applied. Some people question FIA's inconsistency of the amount of penalty. I would love to see Alonso getting a 10 place or a 2sec penalty.. BUT it would be overly harsh. To lose 5 places would be more appropriate, signals that there is a penalty for holding up another driver, but not serious enough to warrant too harsh a penalty. Given Renault''s start, and pace, i think Alonso would be well up in the top 6 by the end of lap one. |

The Alonso penalty was consitent with what's happened before... bit of a shame though.
