Turkington seems to be happier with his car now compared to the first part of the season. I think he said as much in the post quali interview.

What the heck did Cook do? He seems very proud of himself in the interview...

It's Hill's to lose now, Turkington will hand him the win I guess.

Should that have been a red flag? Lots of debris, multiple cars needing recovery. Not fussed if Hill or Ingram wins but given it's the first lap I would have thought red would be more sensible.

Couldn’t really tell from the angle, but the only thing I potentially noticed was he was very close to overlapping Osborne before the line at the safety car restart. But assume ‘start’ means race start.

Hill 386
Tingram 381

this means on equal points Tingram cannot beat Hill

Ingram's facing an uphill battle. Both BMWs will be impossible to jump on the start, Turkington will be protecting Hill and become a driving chicane again. Can definitely see another victory for Hill while things might get hectic for combative Ingram.

If Tom was out of position at the start (I don't think he was based on the camera angle), a 5 second penalty would only drop him one place on the grid for race 2.

Deleon looks like he definitely was out of position.

One angle, they both look like they were to the left of the line, but the other it looks like they were inside that line.

I dont really get it. When Sutton and Ingram need to go through the field they can just do it with ease compared to anyone else. How do they do it?

They're the pick of the field talent wise. Id imagine it's easier coming through the field where it's a bit rough in a FWD car. Too rough in the BMW and you're getting spun easily in a pack.

That, and a bunch of other drivers not wanting to be blamed for spoiling the party.

Why would they do that with Sutton? He was out of the championship before that race?

Well, R3 will be a cracker. Given the weather and that both Tingram and Hill start in the midpack, anything can happen really.
