Yeah, my sentiments exactly...good showing by all.

Bomarito had a good point, for not having any cautions, the GT
class was very competitive all day long. What a great finish to that race.

WOW! What a race!
Way to go for the #3 car! Two in a row!
Good solid run for Falken, best of the Porsches!

Lousy race for the #4, but I'm not going to complain too much!
I've got to say, I really don't like the Vipers, but that was an awesome comeback by the #93.
Inconsistent officiating at times, but still a great race. Green all the way, just what we needed this week.

ESPN3 was really good, at least for me.

WOW!

It was a great race in both GT classes! Congrats to Corvette and TRG (finally got a win!). I wish the 93 Viper won, that car was fast! They have definitely been the most impressive team this year.

Was there contact between 3 Corvette and 30 NGT? It sure looked like avoidable contact.

From the angle we saw it in the broadcast it was hard to tell if there was any contact or if Edwards just lost the tail. He was sure all over the place for the next part of a lap after though.

Amazing race!

Corvette, BMW, SRT and Ferrari put on a great show. So did the GTC Porsches.

Kinda turned off by Chief Tucker having Cosmo ride around behind him for most of the race 4 seconds off the pace. But, that's not entirely surprising considering Tucker himself.

The GTE battle was amazing, and it was still amazing after 165 minutes, none of which was spent behind the safety car. Glad to see race control didn't throw a safety car for the Corvette breaking down, or for the long time the ESM P2 spent stopped with flames belching out of the rear.

And lastly, very nice to see Patrick Long with a heads up and stopping at the end of pitlane with a broken car instead of stopping 100 feet out and causing a 25 minute safety car period for a car that was cleared in 90 seconds.

http://www.alms.com/articles/garcia-...-bmw-viper-win

"Sean Edwards was leading the GTC class in the No. 30 NGT Motorsport MOMO Porsche 911 GT3 started by Henrique Cisneros, but was bumped wide by Garcia as he went by."

So I guess the 3 Corvette did bump the 30 NGT Porsche.

Exactly! It was a wonderful race.just what I needed to make up for the last races, nothing can fix a horrid street race at Baltimore or road America ending under caution, but a 2:45 green to checker race with no cautions does a damn good job at making up for that.

I would like to say well done to corvette but I have to question the ngt contact.all of a sudden all season long officiating consistently is dropped?

Aw come on! It was close to the end, and both Garcia and Sean Edwards were pushing hard. I think leniency is called for! But then, I'm not exactly unbiased!
Garcia mentions needing to apologize to Sean Edwards in this video from RACER.com:

Anyone know what happened to the Paul Miller Porsche? They didn't say on the broadcast?

Also, Cool for BAR1 to finally break through.

Not a bad race... the cars parading around and around got a bit boring at times. Really, the only great battle was in GT, but it was "great" x 1000! So gutted that the #93 didn't win, and great to see such close action in the beginning with Viper vs. Corvette vs. Risi vs. BMW.

Overall, not the best ALMS I've seen, but it sure beats Baltimore and the GT class didn't disappoint. In fact, I can honestly say it was the best GT race in ALMS in a while now, which is saying something.

And going green all the way was nice - especially when you are watching on location.

Great race! Best one besides Sebring for sure. No yellows feels just right. SRT, Corvette, and BMW are very evenly matched right now. Imagine next year when you throw in factory Aston Martin and Porsches in there. Hopefully Ferrari efforts step up too. I think there is a driver issue going on with those cars, Berretta does not cut it anymore it looks like. Matuchelli in the Risi car had his best race hope for him yet maybe. AJR is just slow, probably a combo of drivers and yokohoma tires being inferior. I think Ferrari needs some fresh blood in the driver department.

Also interesting to note that the GTLM cars only finished 2 laps behind the LMP2 winner and 1 lap behind the LMPC winner and there were no yellows. I hope that if my hunch is right in that LMP2 and LMPC will be slowed down to let the DP cars catch up that GTLM cars could yet figure in the overall battle at the 24 hours of Daytona.

PC will not be slowed. DP will be sped up to P-2. GTLM will only figure into an overall win if ALL the prototypes are out of the race.

Great race and a glorious day after having to put up with the rain and wind. Was able to keep up with the GT battle easy enough at the track but cota should turn up the speaker volume when cars are on track.

How slim did the crowd look on tv? A few of the temporary bleachers are going up for f1, and no one was allowed in them. To me it looked about the same attendance as the GA Saturday. Well see if more turn out today for wec, even though less on track action.

It looked pretty thin on TV.
You could see some full parking lots in the aerial shots, but the track itself didn't look terribly full.

I don't buy this claim for a minute sir. No way DP can be sped up by 6 seconds. Basically going from 2 min 1 sec at COTA to 1 min 55 without expensive upgrades which are trying to be avoided by the teams. We'll find out in time who the wrong one is. I think you are.
