I agree. With that being said it would take a real dramatic play of events to help get someone in the 33rd spot, to bump someone else out. A totally wild example of that would be IFSam, Helio, Dan or Dixon miss the setup badly and can't quite get beyond 33rd fastet.ATGR help Milka to keep MTP out or BMTP help Milka to keep TGR.

I'm not expecting that!

I concurr. I try to judge a driver on his/her ability alone - for that very same reason I am really uninterested in all the Danica/Legge/Duno/Possible Future Female F1 drivers talk. If the driver is good enough it really doesn't matter who it is. Then of course I am not perfect, as I tend to support driver whose personality I like too

I don't get it, she's chocolate? Good chocolate at that. When they started to interview her I thought it was more of a language problem but the more she talked the more I thought she's not very bright. She was fast enough though. Too bad about the Formula Ford rookie mistake.

She is smart enough to get to the 500. In over her head? Certainly. Dumb? No.

She didn't last long did she? I started laughing when I saw her spin! She was sideways going into the turn, how did that happen?

I could hardly understand a word she said in the interview, was it coherent english?

I met Milka Duno and her husband when she first arrived in the United States to test with the Skippy cars in 1998 or '99. I have had occasion to have dealings with her at several different times since then.

She does indeed have five Masters Degrees, mostly related to naval architecture and petroleum. Her native language is Spanish. She speaks far better English than I speak Spanish, particularly the Venezuelan dialect. For that matter, she's better educated as well.

Well it made sense to me,and she lasted longer than 2 others, incl.the very experienced Moreno.

And she didn't take anyone out with her unlike a certain highly touted AGR driver who pulled a real dumb move. Family genes for dumb moves wins through. Oh well, he hasn't run into parked safety vehicles (yet) unlike his father and grandfather.

Speaking of another human being as if they are a slab of beef is indicative of a lack of something; if not raw intelligence than a disconnect in the application of same.

Funny that I rarely read a thread about Castroneves' good looks for example, and how he might be a little too old or maybe not smart, simply because he has an accent.

Perhaps we would all be better served here by talking about their racing rather than simply judging them by their looks or their accent. Certainly if we are going to get touchy about our own shortcomings (real or supposed) when these things are pointed out...I suppose that supports the notion that even racing drivers should be judged as who they are rather than on more superficial values.

Right on John. You cannot read a thread about Kat, Danica or even Sarah without it going to their looks. Of course, this forum is mostly males but there are some very knowledgeable ladies here too. They usually have way too much class to sound off about the sexism here but I expect many get more than a little po'd. I know my ex wife would and she was a very good and fast driver as well.

Jeez, I would be betraying my Carry On-based education if I let a pun on "naval" pass, surely?

The naval pun was amusing.

However, the rest is pointless. Let us focus on Milka's driving, however uninspiring it may be!
