We get good commentary on ITV with Jack and James but the background team are average! Would much rather have Huewen, he is superb commentator |

The Chap on ITV is James Cracknell...
'Teammate' or 1/4 of the team that included Sir Steve Redgrave when they won all those golds at the olympics |

Yeah i've been downloading the BSB rounds which have come with the ITV coverage (so far we've only seen the first two rounds on Fox).
Last years ITV coverage was alright with Angus Scott, Barry Nutley & James Whitam, a pity 2 of the 3 (especially Scott) isn't back this year. James Hayden hasn't been a bad addition at the last few rounds either (he's not popular around here, but i wish he were still racing ) |

Ryuichi Kiyonari did the double at Croft - it's going to be hard stopping him from winning the title again...

Kiyo is god.
Cal Crutchlow was exciting to watch, he was over the white line quite often! |

I saw the Camier crash from Cadwell [at the Mountain] earlier - not nice at all, hope he makes a full recovery. I believe he has a broken left leg and pelvis.
For anyone that hasn't seen it, he came over the mountain and just seemed to land awkwardly on the back wheel and came off, in simple terms. |

The replays I saw on Monday were quite enough thanks!
Then the next night we had footage of Kieron Dyer's chocolate leg. I can't take it any more to be honest! |

The commentators had had enough with the one replay, you could tell they didn't feel the need for so many angles. It was an awful crash and I hope Leon gets better soon, he looks like he has a lot of promise. Probably one of if not the rookie of the season so far.
Shame he took out Rea in race 1 (albeit not intentionally) though as it may have handed Kiyonari the title. Was a good weekends racing however with some strong performances from a few riders who hadn't really been there until this weekend. |

Is it too much like shooting fish in a barrel, to ask Chunder, with his sworn aversion to all things Australian, how he's enjoying having an Italian and a Japanese as his last two Bwitish Superbike champs?........

Italian?
But you are right, the BSB championship is very strong, with international riders coming over to compete, or wasn't that the point your were trying to make... |

Haha, it realy doesnt me, it probably would if there were twenty Japanese and Spaniards pulling thier pants down in excitement every time they win but thankfully Japanese and Spaniards are a little more reserved!!
Besides it took Kiyonari a few years to win and he has been on the best bike for all of them!! And Lavilla hasnt exactly set the world alight since winning it!! |

Yep, fair call son. In fact, it's a bloody great series, with lots of contact and bravado, fought out between hard men, world class bikes and tracks that were big and flowing in the old banger days but nowadays on those missiles, must engender eye-popping terror inside the participants' visors as they bounce and squirm from corner to corner. The season-review dvds are magic, and no mug has ever won that title. Personally, I used to call long and hard for John Reynolds to pack it in during his Ducati days, to move over and vacate a seat for a young up-and-comer. But the way he gutsed it out in his championship year on the Suzuki, and then fought back after trashing his leg the year after, had me hats-off and standing and cheering. I tell you what, if all British aspirants ever need a lesson in good, old-fashioned tenacity, JR would be a bloody good example to start with.

Too right, a bloke he did absolutely everything he could with half the talent of a Gobert or a Biaggi.
I remember JR doing a reugale feature in Racer that detailed his approach to his whole racing life and it was utterly fascinating, first part of teh mag I read every month it was going, he was completely dedicated to his profession and despite maybe not having the talent of one or two of his peers his contraol and abailty to maximise his talent was really beyond question. People forget he had two years in GP and a couple in WSB and did OK on fairly ordinary bikes. |

Just a question, is Hizzy the only guy with two corners?
He's got the kink at Knockhill and the chicane at Oulton? I only ask because I can't remember if Hizzy actually won at Knockhill? Didn't he find it too tight for his liking? |

If you're not keeping it to bikers, then Jim Clark has two corners, the esses at Croft and the corner prior to Hislops at Knockhill, although that is now called "Carlube" due to sponsorship!

Nice to see my local team Rizla Suzuki finally getting back to somewhere near their old form. The days when Reynolds and Kagayama used to ride for the team seem quite a long time ago now.

Tyres tyres tyres tyres tyres
It seems like tyres are the only subject of conversation in bike racing lately.
We could see a one make tyre rule in British Superbike in 2008. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sp...eruleexpected/ There are two lines which made me raise my eyebrow: Quote:
