Didn't catch TV showing Palou get by Illot, was hoping to see someone in the tiny teams on podium today. Instead the big 2 lock out

What a wacky race!
Thought Canapino was going to win at one point! Hope he's still around next year. |

Race Result
That was a long and chaotic race. 8 cautions for 35 laps. Dixon gets his first win at Laguna Seca. Marcus Armstrong wins Rookie of the Year. Chevrolet win their 8th Manufacturer's Championship, since their return to IndyCar in 2012. |

Congrats to Dixon. A pretty ridiculous race for him (and the race itself was ridiculous), with his penalty being complete and utter BS, considering all the nonsense in T1.
And speaking on nonsense, I don't like the nickname Fro, but Fro should have gotten a penalty for bumping Will Power early in the race on; he had the nose along side and nothing else? However, decades of Will Power doing the same, I'm fine with it. Highlight of the race was Mayor Hinchcliff going full Maple Leaf with an "aboot" and quickly corrected himself with "about", or something like that. I hope someone else caught that. And how the effing hell did Colton not get pinged for his blatant jump start?! Is it allowed to pass on the apron after the green flag is waved? |

Herta for that, and did Palou get one for barging Felix wide later on?

And then punting Rossi HARD, it was enough to break off the camera and damage his nose cone. The booth mentioned both every time they showed him or highlights

Yeah, that too. But you know, it was "The House Hertas Built", per NBC. To be clear, I like the Hertas but WTF?

I would argue Hyundai Racing should be the house that Hertas built before anything in Indycar but hey what do I know
And hey the racing gods found him and had Helio throw him off the track so there's that |

I screamed every time a driver did a stupid thing. Except Illott tangling with Canapino, because I was doing a pitstop.
Then I thought: am I not entertain? Yes I am. And drivers got penalized for doing stupid things. Now IndyCar must penalize the person that decided that green flags should be deployed before the last turn of the track. |

Apparently Indycar had a guy stand in front of DeFrancesco's car to hold him in the pits. They were black flagged for speed and transmission issues, came in and just fit tires and sent him out until he almost spun again. In the end it could have cost them LLC money, they finished 1 point behind Yips and 910k less funded for 2024. The rules were tweaked to allow a "4th" team under Andretti, and Andretti only apparently, to get the money if they had made it in the Top 22.
