interesting deduction!!! Bird qualified P2, only beaten to pole by Van Dam in last gasp of red-flagged qualifying. Bianchi qualified 17th and wasn't classified in first race. Bird taken out in maniac style by Streit on first lap, Bianchi finished 9th behind Toms, Signature, Carlin, Prema, RC and Hitech!! Agree Bianchi superb, but given same machinery could be very interesting

Well, if you were to provide a link, I'd be happy to do just that!
Don't worry, I've found it for myself here. You were right and I was wrong - inside knowledge perhaps? I'm surprised Grubmuller isn't there, but maybe he's concentrating on the next step up the ladder already. |

Sam Bird could well be in with a shot now he's at ART, he has been a frontrunner at Macau for the last 2 years, finishing 6th on his debut in 2007. Be interesting to see hom Mackenzie does too, stepping up from the National class!

You can put your money on whoever you like, but Macau is such a lottery in terms of survival that you could lose your favourite at the first corner of first practice or the last corner in the final race.
So I'm going for strength in numbers and suggest the winner will come from Ericsson, Ricciardo, Hartley, Van der Zande, Bianchi or maybe Bird. |

I would add Van Dam, Mortara and Merhi, they were the front-runners last year, Mortara and Merhi will be with the same teams.

My dear Lam Pak on the race track what is important is the laptime not the type of licence you race with... I really hope for Michael Ho he will be faster than last year... he might be able to reach the Top 25 in 2009 Lets get back to the subject of the thread |

Top 25? Thats quite optimistic.
Unless you mean top 25 out of 26 drivers. |

He ain't that bad. Ho has been to Macau GP since 99 and his worst result (besides NC) is 24th, but he has also been in top-10 three times... Michael Ho sure isn't a great racing driver, but IMO he's the best Macanese F3 driver in decade!
My prediction is that he'll finish somewhere between 15th and 20th. |

well Macanese drivers get funds from Macao to drive, otherwise on pure performance there would be none.
Sorry Lam Champ but the best macanese driver are Couto and Avila, yourHero Michael Ho has finish in the bottom 5 every f3 race dspite being racing in Macao for ten years. As for Kevin chen he's been in Gp2 Asia because he could pay for it but look at his pace in a 6 or in F3 in uk,what does it tell you??? |
