Will said it was stuck in 4th. Would that be an ECU issue?

Is it quite a dull race? They seem pretty spread out now.

Least Clarke has kept it on the straight and narrow today! On a more random note, Jan Heylen in 7th is doing well too - Oriol Servia as well from 14th on the grid.

Guys in the booth talking about how Dan walks around with a hat with his name in giant letters on it. Rick Benjamin saying it might be a "British" thing.
No, really, we're not that ignorant. And awesome battle with Gommendy and Wilson! |

I can happily say it says more about Clarke than it doesn't about the British nation thankfully! Its all him!

She's had an awful weekend - she'd probably do last year all over again if she could, including the crash.

Sebastien Bourdais wins his first, his last, his only win at Road America. Going out with a bang indeed.

And Tracy's race goes from bad to worse, runs wide and Pagenaud overtakes him on the last lap.
Also big note: This is SeaBass' penultimate race in the States. |

Wasn't the walkover I expected it to be, but you don't get points for the margin you win by, just the win itself. Good drives by Clarke, Rahal and Servia.
Best result yet for Heylen too?? Bad, bad race for Doornbos and Power. What happened to Doornbos in the end? |

I'm suprised Dan came 2nd well done to him. Good to see Rahal 3rd.
I guess I won't mind Bourdais winning as we know it won't be for much longer! |

I'm surprised about dangerous dan today. 2nd place. Wow.
Looks like Gommendy is a hard charger. People totally wrote him off at the beginning of this year, but I think he is doing well for a rookie. |

I think Doornbos had issues just before his contact at Turn 5. He was falling back on the straightaway just before that. It looked like he was already having a handling issue. Perhaps some unnoticed contact from a previous pass.
Rahal was using up his push-to-pass on the straights, once to avoid being passed but the other times I saw it, it seemed like wasted usage. Four cars ran out of fuel on the cool-down lap. That's good fuel planning. |

Doornbos was struggling on black tyres - he says he was flying on reds but he couldn't get the blacks to work like Rahal and Clarke. He says he was beginning to get to grips with them when he hit Clarke (apparently he was more unhappy with Clarke about that than the Minardi quote let on....)

That's one problem with working the race. I know what is happening everywhere on the track, but I have no idea what they are saying in the pits. Doornbos looked like he was struggling as he came by me (at 4) just before his incident at 5.
