OMG What a Race
No time to sneeze, blink or miss a gear and your position changes. Dont tell me the pressure isnt on at Ducati. Acosta insanely good. (From a Aussie Supporter Prospective) Does Jack find himself a seat next year in a swap to GASGAS or is he preying for a second tier ride? |

What a fantastic race at COTA, feels like the beginning of a new classic era. Just what MotoGP needed post-Rossi. There's just so many interesting stories at the front end of the grid with Acosta improving session-on-session, Marquez out to prove he's still got it, Martin mounting another title challenge, Bastianini finally showing his potential, and can Pecco switch into gear soon?
There's a long way to go and no clear title contender has emerged yet. Lets hope the Japanese manufacturers can improve over the next few years too. MotoGP and WSBK are both providing the excitement in motorsport. |

Listening to the excellent Matt Oxley podcast it seems the new tyres don’t suit the Ducatis as much as last years did and might have brought them back to the field somewhat. |

I would not be shocked if KTM drop him mid year he has been utter garbage for a long time now clearly has no idea how to set the bike up and seems to rag his tyres after about 10 laps and literally fall into the midfield or worse the back of the field.
That is unacceptable for a factory rider and he will be being paid very well as one, I would sack him pretty much now, he is an embarassment to Red Bull and KTM, even Binder is not really dealing too well with Acosta. |

WHAT. A. RACE. If you have not yet seen today's MotoGP race from Jerez make sure you see it. Stunning last 10 laps or so. Just stunning.

To be fair, Pecco deserved it for those final two laps, to find a couple of tenths after all that was insane.
perhaps now people will start to give the guy some credit, they all say it's the bike, you still have to ride it. And he has mullered most on it. I read a lot of stuff praising Marquez for doing this on a year old bike, but that is not news on Ducati GP bikes it really isn't, he has done an amazing jobs to be this good already, and could easily be champion, but let's not blow smoke up his arse eh. Loved the exchange between Marc and the fan who climbed the fence, that is what this sport is all about, proper passion, and then for Pecco to ride the perimeter road on his bike, let's hope Liberty allow this kind of stuff still, it brings these heroes closer to fans and give the sport that bit of humanity and closeness that f1 lacks so massively Dumb move by Moribdelli, Miller is garbage right now but did not deserve that, Acosta finally looking human after looking every inch a champ on Saturday and Martin showing the slight frailty he has always had under pressure. |

Just a thought but not everyone gets to see it live. Usually this thread avoids spoiling the result for that reason, especially immediately post race.. Just sayin'.

Sorry but if you are on a forum, maybe select or create a section called no spoilers, as this is a thread about the season. Not every poster breads the threads above, and all you have to do is avoid reading it until you have seen the race, that bis not hard, it is hardly busy in here! Busier forums will have almost a lap by lap comments on a 75 page thread about the 254 season
As for the racing Marquez I feel should have been dealt with more harshly for the poor way he rode on Saturday, he barged Mir and Miguel very poorly and I feel should have been starting at the back, but as usual Dorna love their little love child and he gets away with murder. Pecco knows this is how you have to ride against this man, you have to be prepared to crash, which for me is nowt the way bike racing should be and hopefully it returns to being a more reasonable and fair sport after this man is gone from the sport. Sadly I can see him being around for some time to come. |

riding at home, Fabio made it, finishing tenth means he's the last of the front batch to obtain a Q2 passport. The short lists is: Martin (new track record), Bagania, Acosta, Viñales, Di Giannantonio, Miller, Espargaro, Morbidelli, Bezzechi and Quartararo. MM only 13th says it was a bad Friday for him and his team.

Master class by the Top 3 Young Acosta would be kicking himself but impressed to get back into the points. |
