Rosenqvist looks the quickest, but just based on how they got past Newgarden earlier on, Dixon has the oval race craft experience.

You’d think they’d be more injuries in Indycar pitstops. They have always seemed so frantic and out of control.

Is Felix faster than Dixie or is he getting a little more leeway from traffic?
Rossi racing Dixon hard from -2 laps... |

I think he’s slightly faster, based on how he closed earlier. Traffic is difficult today, but in the end I think Dixon’s experience will win out.

Rosenqvist loses it at Turn 2. It looks like Hinchcliffe pushed him up into the grey and into the wall.

Does live timing exist on the indycar website? I can't find it.
NM, found it, but the link was hard for me for some reason. It has been a long day. |

Green flag stops with 15 left made it jumbled as hell. Marco played a part, too. A single grove on a high bank track makes it tough to pass and to hide but seems like the others racing for a spot in the teens jumbled it up for Felix a bit unnecessarily but I think it was just racing

Congrats to Dixon, that was a dominant performance. Shame about Rosenqvist, as that would have been a great fight to the finish.

Yeah, racing. Shame I was rooting for Felix.
These cars look decent from the side. Front on I’m not used to them yet. |

I couldn't finish it, between the commercials in worse that ABC times and lack of competition on a super speedway I was bored. The NASCAR imposed compound causing an Indy single line is garbage and they know it at the track but NASCAR demands it. And there's more fans at either Cup race then have been at the last 10 Indycar races sadly so Eddie knows how he gets paid.

I'll say this for the commercials. For the majority of them, it was side by side coverage, so you could still see the race. I'll take that at least. Oc course less ads overall would be better, though.
One of the Penskes just barely missed a crew member of another car in the pits. As for wondering about Penske pit stop mistakes, with power, that seems to happen somewhat often, for some reason. Dixon is a machine. He's the best out there, without being the fastest, ths best overtaker, or best at any one thing other than fuel save. He's just always there. I have spent years kinda not liking him for some reason unknown to even me, but I'm beginning to appreciate just how amazing he is. It's just annoying, lol. I hope ganassi does not chew up and spit out rosenqvist for mistakes like tonight. He is really good, but ganassi seems to be in penny pinching mode if someone is either slightly mistake prone or not in contention for the championship. Parking Kanaan unnecessarily comes to mind.... if he does that with rosenqvist, I'll be disappointed. Just like Penske and pagenaud. Field is so deep, anything in top 14 seems like an accomplishment nowadays. |

Well done Dixon. After all these years he's still top dog. Still Felix was a good threat till he crashed, so it should be an interesting season ahead

It's nice that Indycar has returned with the first race of the year, so I'm hoping that it'll get better on the next round.
