Jimmie Johnson is closing in on Matt Kenseth in the list over the most laps lead. Kenseth has lead 32 laps so far, while Johnson has racked up 24.

15 laps to go, things are about to go crazy.
Edit - Jamie McMurray wins the race after Austin Dillon lost control coming out of turn two on the final lap. As he spun back across towards the outside wall Casey Mears had nowhere to go and plowed hard into the #14 Chevrolet, sending it flying high in the air before landing on its wheels. Both drivers are ok. Dale Jr. finished second. Should probably have tried making his move sooner as he most likely had the stronger car. Oh well, nice to see him being one of the strongest throughout the entire race. Last edited by rustyfan; 20 Oct 2013 at 21:16. |

Why do drivers always wait till the last lap? That was a horrible final 20 laps.

I mean if you are 10th or worse, why not make a second lane with 15 or 20 to go. Actually, even if you're 7th, its worth a shot to dive to the inside, especially if you aren't in the chase.
Oh well. Congrats to Jamie. |

All the boys left poor Johnson out to dry. Hahha. He's a nice guy but he's sometimes too smart for his own good.

Because if that move worked the lead drivers would be trying it too. It's just hard to get a second train started without a caution to give everyone an even run, and then it's hard to maintain.

All the main players front and center. I am ready for a little old school
stock car racing Sunday. Need a few good "racing incidents" to spice this Chase up. |

How about giving a point for leading every 20-25 miles? That's 20-25 points at stake at Talladega.

Great race today. Looks like Gordon wants to be in the mix.
Fun listening to Tony give Danica some pointers during the race on the scanner. |

Guess who won?
Heroic performance from Kenseth this year but he's likely going to be outrun. |

Thank god this season is almost over. About 6 races too long. Give it to JJ and let's move on.
