the tiny fuel-tank the DW ended up with must drive them mad.
Had to pit before any of the other P cars that pitted with it... Issue or this tank really is that tiny? |

Noticed there's a marshal in orange at the inside of turn 8, wonder if it's anyone on here?

negri holds his spot at ~+12.5s for 10 laps already, I rather see the #01 coming back into the lead pack than negri making advances, sadly

The top three have switched through the spots - #10 down to third, #31 up to first.

Problems for the right rear of the #10 WTR DP. Sucks for the team, but I'm just glad I didn't pick them in the FRC for once.

do others feel burning out your tyres on pit launch is unsafe? (seeing the #911 there fuming off)
(post reply edit: I should've added I know it's allowed in IMSA and not in WEC/elsewhere, because of safety concerns; I was referring to the specific take-off, seeing how creamer squeaked) Last edited by Ephaeton; 9 Aug 2015 at 21:14. Reason: I should have.. |

I don't think it's dangerous per se (as in sending lumps of rubber flying or losing control of the car) but it could be indicative of the driver trying to get away ASAP and therefore not being as cognizant of their surroundings as they could be. Last edited by J Jay; 9 Aug 2015 at 21:15. |

Yeah I think it's forbidden in WEC.

Looks like a few cars will need splashes in the last 20 minutes.

At LM, the ACO are very intolerant of wheel spin in the pits. In the sprint races, they're a little more lenient, but they won't allow full burn outs obviously. In IMSA, it's basically a NASCAR stop, smoky burn out and all. Even in the ALMS days, IMSA were pretty catch as catch can when it came to that stuff, even if the teams were conservative on wheel spin.

The 31 car had been dominant the last few rounds. Cameron sure knows how to drive the wheels off of a DP. Would like to see him get the opportunity somewhere outside of IMSA for comparison purposes.
Also, did the 5 night get any penalty for spinning the 90? Now the 5 guests spun in turn 1!!! |

No penalty for the #5 IIRC. Which, according to my FRC-centred morality, is a very good thing!
I could do without the spin though, but 2nd to a rampant Dane Cameron is nothing to be ashamed of. I've not been hot on IMSA this year, could the #31 be driving (and winning) enough to secure its future for next year and beyond? |
