Apparently corners are skinnier with contact rotation, so far no insanity but some point that's gonna go wrong and make mess

So far I've noticed the Cup 'regulars' take the Clarkson MB approach to an apex. I could fight comfortably on the track between the apex and Gibbs most laps, SVG well not so much

That and the new Mustang front wings are GROSS on a white car.

And the wet tires drivers need to be parked, absolutely a joke at the end of S1, go park it if you think you need rains

First caution the flag was waving either green or blue right in front of the car instead of a yellow?? My TV skipped from caution to S1 final lap and damn it got dark quick there. And dear God can anyone look out a window or have a spotter any where, that was terrible at pit out

SVG done, didn't see Briscoe hit him even though they're saying he was

Edit, he DID NOT hit SVG at all


He didn't get hit at all, got caught up in water, you could hear it spin up and straight to the wall. Problem with being closer to the corner, you aren't in the others path

They are insistent in the contact aren't they. Backed out up multiple times and you can see between the cars. It happens and guess now that the rain driver is out let's red flag it

Yeah it was blue. Comedy. Fortunately the car was more visible that the flag.

His happened again when Larson spannered it under braking. Is it a NASCAR thing. That it is blue unless it is a full course yellow? Obviously this isn’t a thing on ovals so maybe they just made something new up for road and street courses?

I’m making this up. I could research, but I rather just make up stuff and ask if it is right.

I hadn't noticed before, there isn't a blue flag move over reg I don't believe. But I think they did add local yellow flag option with the expansion of road courses. But GARRA did have a moist track flag so who knows what the flag standard and road race rules are

Yeah, he and everyone else was doing the you shouldn't fine or blame Bubba dance immediately after the race. Sorry but Bubba was an idiot at least twice during the race and then that nonsense. If you can't drive in the damp, park it but you not getting on the throttle when everyone else was going means you're gonna get dumped. He's done it before but somehow when he gets even looked at everyone wants to run to apologize for being within a mile of him

Wow. Don't know what exactly you looked at, dude. You're pretty amazing if you can see a gap between the cars in THIS pic. Maybe you needed to back up a few more frames. If you look a few frames after the contact, you can see SVG's rear end starting to slide out (from the aforementioned CONTACT)....

I don't think it is conclusive - but if you look at the onboard from 1:16 here - https://sports.yahoo.com/briscoe-sen...23136337.html? - it definitely looks like contact is made (there is a slight jolt at the point of impact).

There's also this onboard from Briscoe's car...... the hood reacts to the contact with SVG's car at about the 23 or 24 second mark. There is zero hood movement along the entire start/finish straight until the moment he hits SVG, and the hood moves again as Briscoe hits the tire barrier.
