So looks like no, they'll be using the existing heads for the rest of the year.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Todd Kelly says Nissan will thrive in endurance races, starting at Sandown

Quote:
Kelly, who will sport a new-look Nissan Altima for the rest of the season, expects engine improvements to put the Melbourne-based team in a much stronger position to challenge in 2016.
of course that could mean many things

I thought they had already tried new heads on #15 last round and there was a failure during practice session?

Glad they are running them at Sandown and not debuting at the big race.

Yeah the "rush" part in the article has me worried.

Either way Sandown is a nice long test session for them!

Interesting tidbit in AA this week...suggesting that not all of the Altimas have the new spec engines aboard. Paddock chat suggested that #99 is yet to receive a new spec Powerplant. AA goes on to suggest that the users of the new spec engines have been gagged from talking about their existence, performance or otherwise.

Are they really that bad??? The new engines I mean

Bosses get the "go fast" bits, the other guys paying for it all in the other two cars get jack all. And yet the bosses (especially one Mr. "T.K") are usually been beaten by the two cars paying for everything.

It's hard to get a read on who's actually got what, as far as results go.

All four cars have been pretty inconsistant from the very beginning.

#99 doesn't seem to have the pace the other 3 have after Bathurst. If any of the 4 seem to have anything to play with it's Mr Caruso followed by R Kelly.

Departing the team may mean not getting the good bits.

Surely there's speedtrap data somewhere?

Speed trap only tells part of the story. If they fall off the torque curve too easily, you'll never get a decent lap time out of them.
