Would be great to see Alex and Oriol together, definitely would keep the team at the sharp end of the grid.

Not necessarily, Coyne wants her back.

I think Tag at PKV along with Servia would be popular with the fans.

Indeed, Tags and Oriol is a very strong line up for PKV and hopefully they move forward again and have results. They just need the right people though. It's hard to explain, you just get the impression with some efforts in CC that they are just there for the sake of racing, not for the sake of trying to move forward despite their budgets.

Frankly, if she can get signed by Audi for a DTM deal, it would be better than any NAOW deal she could get outside of an AGR/Honda deal. There are some former Audi DTM drivers who have made a nice career out of racing in the ALMS and at Le Mans.

Tag and Servia were team mates for a number of years at Pineapple Racing - they got on quite well there.

Legge in DTM works for me, she was pretty quick in testing so the reports go. Oops sorry, wrong thread.

It would be great to see both Tags and Servia in really competitive cars.

IMO 2008 will be quite the level playing field without Bourdais being there. PKV will be one of a few teams right at the front challenging...

It will be interesting to see how Bourdais' successor does in the McD's car.
I assume that the team will remain largely intact. I think we will get a good idea of just how good Bourdais is.

Maybe Wilson could go to Minardi, work with Stoddard again...that would not be the worst thing in the world...but we will see what happens, this is the first I have heard of such a rumour...

Apparently CDW is still rumored to be involved. I think he is caught in a tug of war with Forsythe and NHL.

As far as I know there is repeatted rumour in Indianapolis that Wilson is about to sign to Forsythe Pettit Racing and Doornbos to Newman Haas Lanigan Racing. That is my source, bloke is (sometimes) spot on on putting drivers into teams.

With Wilson's status, I would think it probably changes with every phone call between the players at this point of time in January. Anyone could be right with their guess at "X" time.

Is there any truth to the rumours of 3rd cars for Minardi, team Aus or Forsythe?

One of the managers from Forsythe says they are 60% there on running a 3rd car.

hope so, a few more quality cars wouldn't go astray. I know there is plenty of talk of legge going to DTM but team Aus seemed keen to grab her at the end of last season which was one reason why i asked

Would be disappointing to see Doornbos leave Minardi USA.

However there is a severe lack of top quality open wheel drivers for top teams to choose from. Think about it, three of the four biggest rides AOW (both IRL and CC) have come up in the last few months - 1 goes to an ALMS driver, another to development driver with strong ties to the engine builder and the third seems likely to go 2nd year driver with only 2 wins under their belt.
