I bet Williams got a larger discount on their Toyota engine deal by signing Nakajima!

Comtec have confirmed one seat for Pasquale di Sabatino - hopefully they can give him a better car than GD did.

And according to stopandgo.tv, Mario Romancini has signed with former champions Epsilon Euskadi.

So, this is how I would say the grid looks at the moment:

Tech 1 Racing: Julien Jousse - Charles Pic
Int. DracoRacing: Bertrand Baguette - Marco Barba
Carlin Motorsport: Mikhail Aleshin - Robert Wickens
Epsilon Euskadi: Mario Romancini - Filipe Albuquerque - Roberto Mehri - Victor Garcia
Prema Powerteam: Alvaro Barba - Miguel Molina - Carlos Iaconelli
RC Motorsport: Johnny Cecotto Jr - Danill Move - Clivio Piccione
Pons Racing: Aleix Alcaraz - Dani Clos - Michael Herck
KTR: Guillaume Moreau - Xavier Maassen - Carlos Iaconelli
Interwetten.com: Salvador Duran - Sergio Perez
P1 Motorsport: Giedo van der Garde - Pippa Mann
Fortec Motorsport: Duncan Tappy - James Walker - Fairuz Fauzy
Comtec Racing: Pasquale di Sabatino - James Walker - Marco Bonanomi - Danill Move
Ultimate Signature: Esteban Guerrieri - Fabio Carbone - Michael Devaney

Albuquerque is looking at sportscars apparently - although it's better than nothing at all, it's a massive waste to see him having to turn his back on single-seaters. Would have been quick in GP2.

Daniil Move signed KTR . He says KTR have big potencial, and he couldnt get seat in Carlin and Tech1 because of pour results in 2007.
And about new car he said thats the only difference in power, its 1-2 sec. per lap quicker.(Parente and Soucek told that).

Yeah Molina is confirmed at Prema according to their website - very solid line-up for Prema this year. I expect both Molina and Barba to challenge for the title.

Isn't Maki confirmed with Mucke in Euroseries? Thought that was Red Bull has said

Yes, that is a very good line-up for Prema. If Molina can carry forward the pace he had at the end of last year he will be a very dangerous prospect indeed.

Incidentally, he will have to start the first race of the season at Monza with a five-place grid penalty. He punted Frederic Vervisch out of Race 2 at Estoril last year and raced under appeal at Barcelona, an appeal which he subsequently lost.

Yes, silly season should kick off aout this time, nearly every seat in GP2 has been signed for, most of the best seats in F3 are filled.

Very good signing by Tech 1, I thought Tech 1's strenghth went from Parente's skills, but they kept form in post season testing with Pic and Jousse, if they can keep that form in 2008 another good season in front of them.

Comtec were quick post-last season too....

However, I think that seems to be an encouraging line-up. Didn't realise Pic was just 17 either. Jousse should be up there as well if he can remain consistent - he is was certainly my biggest surprise of 2007.

Very good comment on him by Autosport, looks to me he only did FR2.0, and still impressed with SG Formula, now big jump ahead of him, am bit surprised that Bernard adviced him to do FR3.5 instead of a F3, but if deliveres...

Yep, that's a very good signing for Comtec. Whenever Marco has tested for them he has always been either fastest or near the top and I can see that continuing this year as well. And with this news today I imagine James Walker must now be staying at Fortec for another season.

It's funny how many of the teams this year have two drivers of the same nationality (Italians at Comtec, French at Tech 1, Spanish at Prema and more than likely, Mexicans at Interwetten.com).

That's a good signing for Bonanomi - there aren't many top seats left in WSR and I think Comtec are better than last season suggested. Am interested in what Bonanomi can do in GP2 Asia though - he showed well at Dubai and has been pretty quick in testing.

However, I'm actually surprised they haven't kept Nunez as I was under the impression he was under a 2 year contract and he wasn't too bad last year.

Just adding to what you say WSR Fan, Renault site confirms that Salvador Duran and Sergio Perez will compete for Interwetten in 2008.

"Having shot to prominence with the Austrian outfit in 2007 (with one pole position and four podium finishes, including one race win), Salvador Duran will once again line up for Interwetten.com. He will be joined by another Mexican driver: Sergio Perez, British F3 National Class Champion."

16 of the 26 seats already confirmed, although the release doesn't mentioned Bonanomi, so I suppose it is 17.
