You know you have crappy BoP when you have both Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon, yet you keep losing time to both the Aston and the Corvette

However, based on the fully green second stint length they will easily make it anyway. Quote:
It’s not an issue so far. It is maintaining that gap. |

Maybe they just need Raffaele Marciello in the #79.

Slowly Blomqvist is catching Nasr. Probably not quick enough…

Very slow lap in traffic from Nasr, Blomqvist now within two seconds.

Very well executed from the #7 crew, despite late pressure they always looked in charge.
A word for BMW though... |

That was good. The 2:19 of green running at the end let us see two full stints.
Interesting that Porsche decided to only change two tires at the end so that they still had some warm tires as they left the pit. Not sure I’ve seen that before. |

I saw the drive thru penalty come up for 3, did they serve it or just drop behind the 23 as penalty. They were ahead by 8ish seconds and then behind by only 10 with 23 min to go, thought pit lane drive thru was longer than that. Looks like another stop threw them way back so answers that. And seems like the disallowing short fill if you only need X amount of fuel is a pointless rule. Needs to be flow rate only and then let em short it if they want.

LMP3 Race
Lap time spread in LMP3 class and the battle of the top 2 finishers in the class.
Laps ranked by Top 20 average: Average Lap time
#30 fastest here, but 4th in class. It had the penalty for the contact with the #85. |

LMP2 lap spread and battle
Average Lap time
The drop off in the spread seems more than other races. Am I imagining this? I will look back later... Interestingly the Top 2 finishers are 5th and 6th in the lap rankings above. It felt like it was #52's race from the start. Last edited by Adam43; 6 Aug 2023 at 21:03. Reason: Missed last two laps on the battle chart |

Caught up with this race a couple hours after it finished. Overall, it was quite good and was so glad to see minimal yellow flag running. That's not to say the P3 class didn't make an effort of it. There were numerous off track excursions that luckily ended up with cars continuing. This is something that gets missed with this class is that they don't always cause the cautions but they are off track a lot, sometimes it gets picked up on camera and sometimes you're at track and just see them causing problems non-stop that never gets broadcast. I'd like to think next. You will be so much better, but with the same or an increased number of cars it's still going to be carnage! Not complaining about the increased grid size. Looking forward to it actually.

GTD (and Pro) Lap spread and battle
Average Lap time
Spread charts show all GTDPRO and also the best from each manufacturer in GTD. Battle charts are Top 4 finishers of all GTs and another that shows the winner and the Corvette #3. These two had the best consistent lap times. Last edited by Adam43; 7 Aug 2023 at 00:49. Reason: corrected table and GTD/GTDPRO data |

GTP
Average Lap time
Acura had the pace, as the spread table and charts show, but the battle showed that Porsche stayed up front. Last edited by Adam43; 7 Aug 2023 at 00:51. Reason: Added the #25 for completeness |
