morninggents should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I saw Simon's incident from inside the circuit on the chicane exit. What was remarkable was that nobody else went off as the Imp was a sittng duck for more damage. Robyn had a couple of goes outbraking himself (must have been the mud on the windscreen) and got very close once as did a Mini and Brian Webb.

105 Mad should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Qualifying was a bit interesting, first out on sunday morning & torrentional rain. Managed to keep it on the tarmac & quailfied mid-field.
My race was an absolute shocker, don't know what happened but went from mid-field start to finish second to last. My lap times varied up to 5 secs nothing wrong with the car, must have been me.
Oh well, roll on Cadwell Pk.

Historic Touring Cars, Red Alfa - the one which still has it's bumpers.

Just to let people know that I have now uploaded everything I shot (that is vaguely publishable) from this meeting. I did not cover all races and the HFF2000 boys have their pics in a private area for a while.

The rest can be found at :

www.Scene-From-Above.com

than go for the 'Direct Access Galleries'.

From there it should be fairly obvious how to drill down through the meeting and the day of interest to the race of interest.

Any problems? Please let me know.

Hi Will,

Thanks.

Am I right in thinking that was the first time out for the car since a rebuild - and your first race in it?

Yea first time out, managed a couple of sessions at Mallory the weds before.
We've done a few things, mainly just to make so I could reach the pedals, drive it and make the roll bar legal. Not touched engine or box, should have changed the ratios in hindsight!

The Stangies absolutely dominated the class A in the FJ front engine series.
From left to right: Richard Pugh, me, Pat Barford, Gordon Wright and Martin Sheppard. This nice picture was taken by Paul Lawrence, just before qualifying. Cadwell here we come !
