I guess he will continue his FIA-GT ride and is hoping Prodrive will get their DBR9s out of moth balls and go racing in either LMS or ALMS!

Looks like he has landed on his feet in the Grand Am driving the Samax Pontiac Riley with Yasukawa for this weekend.

There is a rumour about him getting a seat in the #44 Flying Lizard Porsche in the ALMS, but I didn't get to hear Seth Neiman's comments on that rumour on the radio because I was at the track and reception is a bit dodgy.

Just found this on www.thepaddock.net ..... about the Fia GT .

Ferrari no.62 will be driven as normal by Tim Mullen but neither of his Czech team-mates will be joining him this weekend. Jarek Janis is out of action for the next month due to his accident in the recent Spa 1000kms and Tomas Enge's management have requested his release to take up a contract in the United States. Tim Mullen is a good driver but he can't do it all by himself so Darren Turner got the call up and will race with Tim in Italy.

Where is Enge off to now then ?

dj4monie is heading for a stewards' enquiry!
Would be nice for the Bruno round and maybe, just MAYBE a Saleen will FINALLY show up in the ALMS properly ran. Ocrea has been very effective even if they haven't faced equal competition since last year. But they did when the FIA sprint race at Spa last season and were on pace at Le Mans if not on the ultimate pace to win.

if it happens in Europe it should be an Oreca-prepared one like the Racing Box beast in the LMS.

It will be RBImmo Racing Saleen, drivers Tomas Enge and Reinhard Kofler. They say the car is 2007 spec prepared by Franz Konrad.

Konrad does know heaps about running the S7R , any chance it could be a new Oreca built chassis or possibily the ex-Zakspeed car ?

I like the livery too .

Who's Kofler anyway ?

"Enge’s team-mate for the race at Brno is Reinhard Kofler. Twenty two years old driver belongs to Austrian young hopes. Voecklabruck born driver finished his karting era winning the European junior championship in 1999. Two years later won BMW ADAC Junior Cup. He managed to score wins in both Formula BMW and Formula Renault where he raced for Red Bull junior. He tasted the British F3 and Formula 3000. His experience with Gran Turismo cars is related to successful testing of Lamborghini Murcielago".

You've got it, Goldentime is the sponsor. We were talking about this when that preliminary LMS season list came out. "Nude sauna" is one way to put it... Strip club would be more accurate, perhaps it tends toward the live sex show area for all I know.

There seems to be 2 new S7R's for Brno. This E.I. story says that the Konopka car is a second S7R for Brno
Quote:
Let us point out that another S7-R ex-Konrad will be present at Brno, that engaged by Miro Konopka (see here).

I think the Enge car is a new build but the Konopka is a 2004 model revamped .

Sorry did not mean to imply that they were both newly built cars but that they would be newly appearing in the series at Brno. But had you read the links I believe it states that the Konopka car is indeed a older version that Walter Lechner drove in 04.

If you compare this Konopka effort to the RAM Saleen effort in 2005 (and there are certainly a lot of similarities) then, given how uncompetitive that effort was when the pacesetters were not nearly as rapid as today, it will be also-ran at best. Those old Konrad cars are more than a little tempermental.
