Legge was the centrepiece of last night's episode of Race Car Driver (Edmonton event). Really good behind-the-scenes piece with Polestar team owners Jim and Pam Griffith. Legge lives with them during the season. I am very impressed with Legge. Very level-headed and not caught up by the glamour. IMHO, this has been the best episode so far. Great stuff!

Isn't she doing great! I was just going to post about that Race Car Driver last night - I believe it is being re-run on October 15 too. I admire her very much for staying back until she herself knows she is ready for Champ Car - and I hope those are traits of a one day champ! I like her teammate ABesette too who comes from rally.

She's doing a good job in a poor field.
If she can maintain her performance against better opponents, all credit to her. |

Seems like everybody who raced there this year will have that same criticism thrust upon them. Shame. I thought she did great.

That was a great piece on her. I especially liked when she was talking about how competetive she is, and that sometimes she wants to win so badly that it makes her whole body ache. I think she showcased that competitiveness with her driving this year. Good luck to her.

For what its worth - her laptimes at most races this year were slower than those of Danica Patrick at the same circuits last year.
Now, Danica didn't win a race - a clear indication last year was a better year in terms of talent. Next year Atlantic should be fantastic though |

Not so sure about that. Could indicate Danica is very quick over a single lap (which is undoubtedly true) but not so steady yet over a race distance (possibly also true). Looking forward to seeing the pair of them develop further next year though

I'm talking about lap times through the race.
I have an analysis of it somewhere - which also uses a driver who competed both years as a reference. |

I remember seeing that actually, so dont dig it out on my account. I'll compare the two of them the day they compete in the same series in the same season. Until then I'll just wish them both well.

Why does everywhere keep printing she's from Northampton. I thought she was from Guildford!?

Not only is she scheduled for an F1 test, but now she's got one lined up in a ChampCar. Her feet seem solidly on the ground, though.

Yes - I think her grasp of reality and her ability to live in that reality rather than live in her own ego is one of her best and most beautiful traits. I sure hope she goes far!

I think she's is the best "girl" out there, if that matter anymore. She is far better than Danica "DP" patrick, and in racing well wins are what keeps one getting signed, unless you are in NASCAR than your daddy or uncle or pappy can sign you ad infinitum...
Atlantics for another year with ford power, strongr engines and faster drives, if she wins again- she will be a welcome member into CCWS |

Danica Patrick has generally outpaced Indy500 and several IndyCar race winner Buddy Rice this year, so she does have some merit.

We'll have to agree to disagree then.
Charles Zwolsman's one of the poorest Atlantic champions for some time, in my view. |

Well, that would be a surprise indeed.
Zwolsman had 3 years in F3 and still only managed 16th in the standings in his final f3 season. i wish him all the best, but for now i have to agree with kicking-back, Zwolsman isn't a big champ. |

His time in F3 wasn't that good indeed. But the moment he got into a good team he was struck by a serious illness (and still Kolles kept him with the team). In 2000 he was vice-champ in Formula Renault 2000 and would have won it if he wasn't punted off the track by a certain Felipe Massa (who clinched the title with that action). Winning TA shows he's getting back.
I have to agree though that I don't rate him among the best drivers of the junior series. |
