I held on quite well until 4 laps from the end where I came up on rd at Ascari and just lost it. These things happen though and it didn't affect my position. My goal for the race was to finish within sight of the two speed demons and I was well on track (excuse the pun) to do that so I'm happy.. |

I'll see if I can throw together a few pics. Actually I'm thinking as I type here, but if anyone wants to submit any pictures we could have a gallery of each race. |

I was really surprised with my pace, i didn't expect that 2 weeks of not playing would do so much in terms of lap times...
My best qualification time was at least 5 seconds off my PB! |

Well I've got three initial screenies for you (larger copies available!).
Firstly, Tony outdrags me at the start.... |

Secondly, here is Spudgun on the way to Ascari, probably not realising he was driving my Gold Leaf Lotus, with my web site sponsorship on the side! (Note the incorrect number 6 (he was actually number 4) - down to my incorrect editing of the mip!)
He is also wearing my "custom" helmet as well! Last edited by Aysedasi; 15 Jan 2003 at 16:44. |

Its by someone called Micha. I can't remember now where I got it. Obviously, the green and yellow car is the standard one, while the Gold Leaf car is (I think) strictly speaking inaccurate, as the sponsorship started in 1968. But it looks so good I had to have it. As and when the new GPLEA Lotus is released, I shall probably use that, but in my view, this car is much better than the current offering from GPLEA.

The Gold Leaf car has my "AYSE" on it, plus a very small copy of my website logo.

OK. Here it is.
For the standard green and yellow version of Micha's Lotus, go to:- http://gplpp.com Go to:- Cars/Complete Cars/Lotus/Micha's Lotus 49 Once you click on the "Micha's Lotus 49" it is a direct download link to the zip. I'll now go and try and find the source for the Gold Leaf add-on. |

Try "Treasure Chest" here
http://www.dixierunners.speedgeezers.com/ I think the GL Lotus is here, and there may even be an updated version of Micha's original car as well. |

nice pics btw, (all but one, :/ )
What happened is the wiring lost electrical connection for a brief second and spiked, so that it put full left lock on. This meant that I had no time to correct it, (notice my engine revs). Try and spin in that same spot and see how hard it is to do. I had a small spike on lap 4/5 in the middle of parabolica, which actually put full right lock on, which actually helped. Any other comments about the race or league, please direct them to me or Spudgun and we will try and sort them out. Any the most important thing is that everybody had fun in the race. |

Does not matter your lap times, as long as you are sensible and not cause accidents, you learn so much online racing.
As for lap times for Glen in the ferrari aim for 1min06 and under for the ultimate pace, or so, |
