What a privilege to have met Sam, skycafe. I love his work and hope to hear his opening essay for Le Mans next year and many years after.

Here was the closing to Formula One on SPEED. I'm going to watch this waaaaay too many times this winter.

I think we had a lot of fun indeed.

Yes indeed, a lot of fun! Posey and Hobbs are both very pleasant gentlemen to meet, and I will always be a fan of both. Hobbs commentary and colloquialisms are always a joy on what is usually the post dawn hours of Sunday morning.

I don't know if you ever had a chance to read them, but Posey had a lot of features in Road and Track back in the Seventies, well worth a trip to the library if you get a chance.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to take a look sometime.

Just watched a documentary that aired on ABC in 1971 as part of a series called "Once Upon a Wheel." It profiled Posey and Hobbs at a Formula 5000 race in Mid-Ohio. Takes about 28 minutes to watch on YouTube, where it's in four parts. Some cool footage and a hilarious exchange between the two drivers in part two, I believe it was.
