Let's be fair. IMSA is allowing them to use all of the run off as road, so the IMSA qualifying times should be a couple of seconds ahead of where they would be should they be confined to the track.

Pew gets pinged in the #60 for punting the #911 Porsche.

Edit - Dane Cameron must have been as excited as me about Japan beating South Africa, because celebrating that result wildly is the only explanation for driving right into the side of the #8 PC like that.

Good keeps GTLM on the overall lead lap before they had to pit. I see the #70 Mazda pitting and trying to go the rest of way with no more stops

First time ever that the FCY's have made this race a tad better. There were just two of them and they were spaced out enough to get plenty of racing and make things interesting. How else did we get the 54 and the 0 to lead overall in the last hour. I think the GTLM guys can make it to the end.

LMPC and GTLM leaders right together on the rack in the overal standings too

I absolutely hate COTA... such a horrible track. It looks like a ghost town. Like you'd expect an SCCA regionals weekend for attendance in mid-october at Blackhawk farms.

That's a ridiculous comparison. People actually go to Blackhawk.

COTA is a great track, but it's just in a bad spot.

They did so while running all over the circuit and not adhering to the actual racing surface, as the WEC cars did. Of course they're going to run faster lap times than last year since they don't have to worry about pesky things like track limits and the WEC cars do. They might as well be running a different configuration this weekend. There is little comparison to make.
