What are the chances of the new GT2 Corvette being built by Riley being eligible for LM next year and what chance do they have of getting an application to race accepted? Remember the Pug was a new car and their application was accepted for two cars! It would be nice for them to be able to attend if the car is ready and homologated to LM specs! Then we could have Corvettes in GT1 & GT2! Just like Ferrari used to do it.

My guess, Not in 2008. Build, test, learn and rebuild the new car. Then in 2009 with the proper sponsorship maybe. |

Or at least this: For the Future of Corvette Racing, I sure would like to see something closer to USA racing colors. There are plenty of Belgians with Corvettes that can have the "Belgian Racing Yellow" livery. |

While I cannot speak for Corvette racing; Lets take into account a few things. And please do not make this an us vs. you, as it is not! The United States is Corvettes largest market. We have heard from S. Wesoloski that they also take their customer programs as serious as possible so as to not effect either adversely. link Also it has been observed that LAA had very robust support from P&M this year, up to and including driver support (which included Spa). And it has been suggested that if the ALMS program is not a full time effort in 08 that LAA will be basically a semi-works team with both Ollies in a second C6.R. So depending on their home series and not stepping all over their European customers we very well may see a very large presence of Corvette Racing on the Continent in 08. L.P. |

OK for sure the ALMS or any other american sports car series, is the right place for a factory Corvette effort, but when I said moving to Europe, I meant that GM must do some races againt a fierce competition in both european series, in preparation of Le Mans !
yet again its a fantastic season for Corvette, winning Spa 24h and so close to the GT1 drivers title in FIA GT with Carsport Holland/Phoenix |

The Corvette Racing team won't ignore the Riley-built GT2 effort in 2008. Riley is top-notch, but why should the P & M team throw it away?

I like the #4 with the black wheels on it, they should have done a set of yellows for the #3. Probably never run them on the cars though, heat retention(?).

"But at the end of the day, this is a hell of a marketing effort we've put together and we are going to continue with it."
This is the last sentence from an interview with Doug Fehan from this article at Americanlemans, com! http://www.americanlemans.com/News/Article.aspx?ID=3808 Does this mean Corvette will be back in ALMS next year? DK |

Corvette will be back in the ALMS with GT1. Consider that confirmed, though the exact number of races is not. From the sound of it, more races than three are likely - regardless whether Aston Martin shows up. The impression was given that Corvette just doesn't give a flying...if AM shows up fine, if they don't, then that's fine, too.
