Feel sad that Barrichello decided to leave, however the series wasn't doing it for him and the series last year wasn't giving off the best reputations with the crazy cautions and the fuel mileage races.
Still 2013, with Sato staying on is good news as I can see that first win coming for him. |

Now that the Foyt seat went to Sato, is Ernesto Viso's sponsorship money going to be the next decider for a driver/seat combination? There are rumors that BHA would take him on board for a 2nd seat, but they did not apply for a Leader's Circle entry. So is it the 2nd Coyne seat then or which one?
I guess just like every season, the last driver will be signed on the evening before the 1st practise session of the new season. This kind of bump day might be the only excitement that this offseason has to offer. By the way, what has Alex 'Pink' Lloyd been doing last season? |

I don't know if ESPN does the same thing in the United States. Here in Latin America, they show some ads "this month on ESPN, eight top football championships, ATP tennis, four rugby tournaments, blabla and more!". Well, in addition to that, the past few days they have been showing 30-second IndyCar ads with the label "IndyCar in March on ESPN".
THis means two things. One, they are showing IndyCar. Second, they are keen to promote IndyCar.

I really wonder what's next for Ryan Briscoe: an Indy 500 only ride for a returnee team like Newman/Haas?
He deserves a good seat since he has proven he can win on both ovals and twisties and has experience in fighting for the championship. The Foyt seat went to Sato, the Rahal seat went to Jakes and the Andretti seat went to Viso. But we have seen drivers come back from similar situations: Will Power, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal, Oriol Servia. When you look at the list, it's almost like this experience gives a driver additional strength that helps him fight for the championship. Well, we'll see if that theory holds, depending on what Graham Rahal will do this year :-) |
