I think tires warmer are needed more for the safety factor then anything else.

They tried it in the BTCC in 2000 to "save money" a few huge expensive shunts later, they brought them back.

It's going to be carnage in the night at Le Mans surely. Just don't think it's worth it. The 'environmental' rationale is a bit of a joke to be honest - Jim Glickenhaus was right there.
Ultimately it's somewhat damaging for the product seeing top hypercars crawling around. If top pros struggle and over half the grid are Ams... |

#2 Cadillac almost dropped it at Eau Rouge on its outlap after the red flag. I can see them bringing back tyre warmers.

I haven't seen anything that exciting for a long time. They've nailed it.

That was fun!
Question... Where will the #8 start from tomorrow? Back of Hypercar grid and ahead of P2 and GTE? Or other? I can't share commentators' enthusiasm for Hyperpole at LM. |

How much harder or harder to warm are the WEC spec tires? IMSA doesn't run warmers, I don't think at least, and they don't seem to have the inability to stay on the track. Honestly asking not my usual smart ass.

Most likely more weather related than tire spec related. Spa is much, much cooler than Daytona, Sebring or Long Beach.

The tyre warmer ban is downright dangerous, box ticking crap from the organisers

I turn off the stream, come back and find out that what i saw happen didnt actually happen. What a disappointment. I dont even see how that is "track limits". Hes got one side of the car in the gravel

It's just something the drivers have to learn to deal with I would say, perhaps it's harder with the hypercars than it has been in other formula. |

The AO/Project1 Porsche RSR is too badly damaged to be able to race. Driver Hyett was released from the hospital. Was he on cold tires?
