Ahhh, Farfus was then punted off the track, causing a pit stop to clear gravel. Looks like a Porsche win now

The only one who will probably be happy with Ricky's move is his father.

F Ricky Taylor. Learn to drive, you're fast at top end idiot, pass at 1 or 10 like a grown-up. Thanks for killing the end of the race

Petit Le Mans very often produces winners from teams that have not won at all during the course of the year. Happened again with Porsche GT team and Weathertech Ferrari. Congrats on getting off the goose egg on the scoreboard.

Not as low percentage as the braking zone chop the other car did. Inside, outside, brake, inside in about the space of a second.

From the onboard, Pipo did come down a bit after throwing at least one defensive move, but Taylor wasn't even half way up once the contact was made. Pipo could've had let out of it, but he was entitled to the racing line, imo and in another couple of corners, Taylor would've probably been able to make an easy pass based on his pace. In the end, we were all robbed a bit of a good finish to a more than decent race.
I still had fun! |

They didn't make contact from a chop or defensive move. They made contact because Pipo turned into the corner on the line and there was a car trying to force its way into an every closing wedge.

...and he would have been absolutely plowed without remorse instead in NASCAR. So the winner in all of this is still the #10 for not getting dragged into Formula Ford antics. |

There wasn't space for Taylor full stop. That is all that's needed. He didn't avoid the collision so guilty. Whether Pipo blocked or not if immaterial. Never mind the fact that Taylor is an ass and has done that multiple times before so eff him he needed to be penalized at least to the position of the car he put off track.

In my view, that was Taylor's mistake (much) more than Derani's. The fact that Race Control decide 'no further action' is possibly a sad precedence. #7 gets to keep the second place while its rival is out of the race and gets credited with 6th (or what was it?). Not good, and IMO: not fair. TBH I thought race cntrol had a few surprising and disappointing decisions that evening, not just that one. Ricky Taylor re-gains a bit of respect for taking Derani apart and talking with him one-on-one. Way better than Derani being physically annoyed by Jordan Taylor and Castroneves who were both not involved in that incident. |

derani was trying to defend the position covering the inside, taylor tried to overtake him divebombing but he simply was too overconfident since there wasn't enough space.
It's more or less what tried to do leclerc with vettel during second austrian gp start. |
