Hard to see any kind of strategy that could work out for the #2 if they continue like that, McNish is almost 30 seconds down less than 30 minutes into the race.
How much fuel can they possibly save? |

#7 onto the grass trying to lap the #24 OAK. Bad moment there. |

Was just about to say the #7 is looking unbeatable but Nico makes a huge meal of lapping the Oak at a difficult part of the track.
As always you can't beat yourself. |

I'd get the Audis in. Forget fuel strategies for now - those tires are losing them way too much time. Toyota's race is looking very handsome indeed.
LMP2 is shaping up nicely... |

Lotterer lost 4 seconds to the #7 during the last lap alone.
Even if the new set of tires does click, Audi has a lot to make up now. |

Just noticed AF Corse have tweaked their livery this weekend and added Hublot and some black to the car.

That's just G4J the race strategist talking. Maybe the boffins on the Audi pitwall are playing it cool and do have something up their sleeves. They're in danger of getting lapped before long. |

I honestly can't recall the last time Audi trailing so far behind before the first stop without a technical problem. Not even during the Peugeot years.

One lap longer for the lead car. Davidson's right rear looked bad but he had just dropped it off the track on pit entry.

Did I miss something? Why is Heidfeld gone from Rebellion?

Puncture for A-Lott on Lotus debris. Bad to worse.
Also the lead change was totally missed for about 10mins. Did the pass get made on the track or in the pits? I know it was close when they came out. |

Unless Audi is hiding a really good trump card, I can't see how they can win the race on their own now. Slower & worse fuel-economy = no chance
In the meantime, LMP2 is providing a decent show and the GT-classes are doing well behind the Aston Martins. Shame if anyone else wants to win in GT classes, it's all an Aston show |

Well, on fresh tires they can run roughly the same times as the Toyotas which is obviously not enough looking at their fuel disadvantage.
Will be interesting to see how soon their tires will go away, I suspect a lot sooner than on the Toyotas. |

Hadn't heard about Pecom not returning to the WEC until GG just mentioned it now. Makes me wonder what the P2 count will be for WEC 2014.
Toyota seems to have this one pretty much wrapped up barring incident or failure. |

Pecom looking to TUSC for 2014. WEC will still have Lotus and G-Drive, and Oak at least.

#1 is lapping really fast now. They could still win this race, there's still plenty of time.
Edit: Or get second. #7 had a slow stop and has been dropping back from the #8. |

Hello, gents! Just tuned in.
Quick question: why has the #2 been shuffled down the LMP1 order? Problems with the car or simply a lack of pace over their stints? |

Slow puncture for Buemi, according to Graham Goodwin. Bad news for the leader, I'm afraid.

It's a lack of pace. The Audi really doesn't seem to be agreeing with the surface today, although the #1 appears to have got to grips with things a bit better.

The live stream isn't covering it but it looks as though there's a gripping battle between Stanaway and Vilander for 2nd position in GTE-Pro.
Aston Martin, once again, are (dominating) leading both GTE classes... impressive. Oh, awesome, they're showing it now. |

#1 taking big chunks out of both Toyotas and within a minute of both cars. It's still a race.
Edit: Benoit Treluyer has taken over 20 seconds out of the #7 in less than an hour, only ~30 seconds back now. Last edited by Beryl; 9 Nov 2013 at 06:21. |
