Race 2 Result
A completely different race from yesterday, attritional with a lot of mechanical issues and a lot more cautions. Scotty Mac kept the end up for Team Penske, with his 3rd win of the season. Will Power looked good up until that spin and then it was a matter of damage limitation. Alex Palou, despite the issues at the start of the race, has a 19 point lead over Will Power going into the season finale at Nashville. This is one track that needs to remain on the calendar. |

Daly had a great weekend overall for JHR. Podium and a 17th gets them a good points haul to potentially make the winners circle money

Again I missed both races, this time good ones.
Hopefully they confirm the 2025 date. |

2025 date is confirmed, week before Labor Day and single race not double. Think it needs to be 2 shorter doubles like Iowa since it's 25k or so sell out currently with plenty of seat areas covered or removed

Scott Dixon made his 400th and 401st IndyCar starts at the Milwaukee Mile on the weekend. His 2nd place podium in Race 2 was his 142nd podium finish, putting him ahead of Mario Andretti.

Just a great, old school couple of races on a great, old school track
Ringfence this track on the schedule forever Indycar, that's the kind of racing we want to see, not processions, parades and strategy based on who can run the slowest to save the most fuel, balls to the wall racing from start to finish Was fun watching the compettitive order shaken up a tad, new faces coming to the fore and the traditional "show good in the early laps then fade at the end when he's eaten up the tyres, George Russell of Indycar" Ferruci choking in both races. Tyres that degrade before they have to pit for fuel, that's the secret Indycar, now bake it into the reciple from Firestone forever more! Now, about that "first race after Indy" tradition..... |
