It was you we had this conversation with, Invader. 11am sounds like a good plan. How many liquid lunches do you need? Say, meet up again at 2pm and again at 4pm? That should keep Invader in Guiness for the day
It will also give the non regulars a chance to find us if they haven't made previous plans with any of us. I'm sure a few of us will be wearing the 10 Tenths caps so will be easily recognisable. |

I was trying to avoid the lack of direction we seemed to have last year....any other suggestions would be most welcome. |

I disagree with Invader - I feel we should walk around aimlessly in circles - we'll see so much more that way...

Looks like you've already decided, so why bother asking now.

Because it is worth getting people's opinions and if enough people don't think it is a good idea then we won't do it. Simple as that.
I'm not here to dictate what is going on, I just made a suggestion. Suggestions are either encouraged or knocked on the head. It doesn't make any difference to me. If you want to discuss this on Saturday, Carrie, I will be more than welcome to but I can't see what the big deal is. |

Must remember my ten-tenths cap, although it only really appears at the circuits!
I don't mind if we pre-agree a time, or if we just call each other on the day. You will be able to hear me before you see me anyway he he Can't wait now! |

As Woody said in the Show Tickets topic, the freebie tickets are for the Sunday, so looks like I'll be going on the Sunday now.

It's nice to see that the NEC security / gate staff are as good as ever. From my experience of working on events there it takes multiple letters, passes etc (most signed in blood) to get in to unload, but absolutely nothing to get out, by the sounds of it even if you are driving a (presumably) gleaming motor without reg plates.
It's made me think. When's the Motor Show next at the NEC, I fancy trading up..... |

Just got back home from the NEC a couple of hours ago. I don't know if other people would agree, but I thought the crowd numbers seemed a bit down on previous years - certainly it didn't seem as crowded.
Nothing really stood out and made me think it was worth going just to see X, it was just something a bit different to use up a day. I was watching the Karting for a while and most interesting was one lad who only looked like he was about 10 or 11. He was pretty fast and really slid round each corner, generally scraping the tyre wall as he did. He did lose the kart a couple of times, but a few other times the way he controlled some of his slides was very good. He'd obviously been karting before and was certainly very entertaining to watch!! There's now two new 1:43 BTCC Vectras sitting on the shelf in front of my computer And the award for something you don't expect to go and buy at the Autosport Show - I found a very impressive little torch on one of the bike stands and decided it would be pretty useful for work |
