as longer the practice goes I have the same feeling too...there is a lot of time in the cars.

I think you are right. A quick look at the the gains seen by others they have 1-3 even in practice. 3-5 is clearly on for qualifying. Pretty normal improvement between early days and going for a lap.

If you want to be clever you can shout sandbagging a few times

Loving the number of cars near the sharp 3:30 end. Grandfathered P2 cars running hypercar times lol.

I can see one toyota running a 98% trouble free race being a few laps up on 2nd place toyota or p2. I just don't have the faith in the other hypercars. I'd love to be proven wrong, but also don't want to be disappointed.

Actually kinda vaguely excited for this one!

I can't find any other timing options yet. But I have found the WEC timing to be quite good, but I'm not sure if you get different options if you are a member or not.

Last year someone linked a special Chrome extension that basically used the WEC live timing as the source (I think?), but then displayed the info in a much better layout on the screen.

Whilst we're on this topic of streaming and what not, time to discuss Live Timing. ACO shutdown all the good ones because they have valid business reasons for annoying everyone.

It is better timing for...no race in particular. Install this. Go to the WEC live timing page like normal. There will be a toggle button in the top right of the page (may take 30s or so to show up) and it'll give you good live timing again. It does take over the whole tab, so if you're wanting video too then duplicate the tab, stop one of the videos and have the timing on that one.

But it doesn't do anything now except to take you to the general extensions page.

I know Q is coming up next, but they’ll get through to hyperpole.

Does make it look strong for Toyota. I doubt they were going for a time too much (not that I’ve looked at stint lengths or listened to that much of the coverage), but I would think they are finding it easy to go at that pace.

Not all is lost for those with quick pole time predictions.

A quick glance at top speeds and they seem similar to test day. So, overall, I think there is a suggestion that the track is just quicker today. That would tend to show in cornering speeds rather than top speeds. And of course everyone had chance to think about it and tune the cars a bit more…

It isn't active from what i can tell during the WEC on track sessions. Also, i still have that extension installed on my browser and it did nothing during FP1. So it may be inactive now.
