Final F1 calendar released, Monaco GP on May 27, Canadian GP on June 10 and European GP on June 24. So both the test weekend and the great race itself fit around the F1 races without clashes.

I am not bothered myself about clashes with F1 but as already said this should make both the test day and race the centre attraction for motor racing and it will help some of the people tied up with F1 commitments, already looking to start booking things up and it is over 9 months away.

I'm in to, taking 2 friends for their first time. They liked the Spa 6 hours so much that they followed the 24 hours and thought they'd have to be there next year.
So the tickets are ordered and the camping booked. |

Just to chime in here...I'll be there and I'll bring a taste of some southern hospitality. When I get back from Petit, I'll start planning 2012.

On this date last year, the equivalent thread to this had 106 entries, compared with (before this addition) 93 posts. Is this an indication of waning interest?
I only mention it because I have the general feeling that there is less activity than usual on the forum at present. |

I suppose it is possible that the next two years could be seen as 'transitional' years ahead of the new regs. Even so the racing promises to be stunning. On a side note. Do people expect the Group C cars to be back next year in the support slot? Heres hoping... |

I'd be happy with Group C, but what I'd really like to see in something like 1967 through to 1981. It's an era we've not yet seen fully represented in the support race

Renault and Matra's, Rondeau cars, that era surely MUST be brought back to Le Mans as a support race. |

That is also a underrated era in Le Mans. I for one would love to see 917's and 935's...

Isn't it a question of what cars are under the umbrella of the company that runs the support race? Hence the reason we only get cars from certain eras rotated?
