Pretty much on the hour for Glickenhaus' first stop, 3-4 minutes more than the Toyotas.
Edit - Puncture for Perrodo? Destroyed the front-right quarter panel. |

Another tyre let go. #83. A lot of damage.

It's almost as if tyre suppliers are disincentivised to make their best product without a tyre war...

Let's quietly ignore Super GT managing open tyre regulations (2008-) for over a decade more or less successfully. Edit - Westbrook confirming that the tyres blister after 3-4 laps (but it's the rears that are worst off), and that they are just going round to see what works. Those large louvres in the 007 LMH wheel arches provide a good view of the tyre blisters!
I really hope we won't see them as much at Le Mans (and Monza by extension). Algavre is a bit of a unique circuit. Lots of loooong high-load corners. Fantastic circuit thought. Would be perfect with more grass and gravel in the run-offs. Quote:
Seems to be a lot easier once you put stickers on it that say "HyperCar". Those things must be heavy! |

The Alpine isn't quite quick enough to make this work.

Took over two hours for the Toyotas to lap the P2 leader. Privateer LMP2s are closer to the OEMs in the top class than they were for most of the LMP1-hybrid era!
I know many aren't a fan of these slower cars, but the depressing gap to the privateers did put a dampner on the previous era for me. |

Very clumsy and costly move by Briscoe.

That’s what happens when you use GT drivers inexperienced in proto machinery…. They’ll learn and get better.

Westbrook mused that the circuit didn’t help.

I’ve only just seen it go back out and get back in. At full throttle the clutch clips. |

Toyotas swap round. Been close between them. Good fight.

He certainly misjudged the speed of his car versus the GT cars in that overtake attempt. I'd say it's more of a symptom of a slower top class than anything else! |

Pace and pit stops playing out has expected. Alpine need to strap a tank to the back.

31 in trouble for blue flags. That’s going to hurt.
Proton porsche needing to use replacement bumper that they use in the ELMS after the Glick crash! But in the garage. |
