A bit off topic for the thread but more has come up in answer to your question.

I was told the "other car" was with a chap called "Mark Taylor". I tracked down and spoke with Mark yesterday and he only has the (ex-Ellis/Trevethan) VL as described in earlier posts. It appears that there has been a belief (in Qld) that the Ellis VK was converted into the Ellis VL that subsequently went to Trevethan then Darwin and now to Mark. As posted earlier, the VL was a new car with bits from the VK.

So, this leaves us back at square one. The "other car" is still missing! Is it in Darwin? You would reckon all the publicity in the "Northern Territory Times" recently would have flushed it out..... but no? Maybe it is a myth???
