Surely the single, most important issue is that it's the fastest, most reliable car on the grid (if you, like me, are a McLaren fan)?
We can debate til the cows come home on the wing, the side pods, etc... But so long as it's keeping the red, white and variety of other colours behind it, it could look like a London cab for all I care As it happens, I think it looks superb and as Martin Witmarsh said, if it looks good out of the box, it'll probably go equally as good. Not nearly as bad as I expected these cars to look with the new regs and I must admit to thinking the F60 looks quite neat as well. I like the rakish sidepods on all the cars so far. Most of all, it just looks like a proper race car now with slicks on it. Those bloody grooved affairs was like coming face to face with a stunning looking girl, only to have her smile at you and flash a mouth full of braces at you Just off topic, but I see Ferrari have changed their test next week to Mugello... perhaps a sign that all is not well with their design to date. Be interested to see how the MP4/24 matches up against the BMW early doors. |

I like it.
Probably the best looking car launched so far. |

While Ferrari having problems with their car would be very sweet i think that they are moving to Italy for the test because of the weather. |

It's good to see them back on slicks, at last they look ready for a dry race!

Seems McLaren are testing the new car with the old rear wing? Maybe the new wing would reveal something in the rooster spray today? Also the rear exhaust ports on the pods had an additional piece fitted that didn't seem aero except in the old Kamm back sense. Anybody out there that can shed some light?

I like it better with the old rear wing. The front wing still looks a bit odd, but combined with the old rear wing the whole car looks more in proportion.

I think the current driving position and leg elevation has been around for some time. Changing a few millimeters here and there depending on the year and car.
I imagine this kind of leg elevation arrived with the high nose cars a few years ago. It might be interesting to compare those with the McLaren of the time as I seem to remember it retaining a low nose. Year? ? Cheers Peter |

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2088/...ebf3233826.jpg I still think that the current high leg position has been around for a while now, and I don't recall any driver having problems with this. |
