I hate to criticise the results of those who have put the effort into writing and producing a book on a subject they are passionate about but there is no doubt that I really struggled with 'The Jim Russell Story' by Norman Greenway. A shame because the subject matter is of great interest but I obtained the impression that it had been neither proof read nor properly edited before publication.

100 year of the BARC or similar title published earlier this year.
Quite the worst series of errors I have ever seen, numerous photos with wildly incorrect labelling, eg Mike Hawthorne in F2 Surtees at Crystal Palace (try Mike Hailwood!), pictures taken at Snetterton but listed as Thruxton. Incorrect drivers, cars, locations, and facts. Probably worth getting a copy as could be a collectors item for most number of errors in a single book. Spoke to BARC who admit, nobody checked |

THe man is evil, possibly the worst motorsport writer I have ever read in my life, and to think somehow he actually gets contracts.
He has libel against him, why on earth woudl anyone consider him for a book! |

Had many lawsuits and stuff thrown at him, the Hunt book was very poorly received
If I said that at one time I applied for a job to research a motorsport book, only to find out that it was the Hunt one, and the person I spoke to wanted "dirt" on him! That tells you all you need to know about a guy writing a book about someone who is dead |

He is basically a tabloid journo in the wrong place. Looking for scandal where there isn't any. The sheer rubbish he forced upon us in the ill-fated F1 Magazine was unacceptable.
He also has a horrendous face. |
