I think this debate is indicative of the culture 'divide' between those who enjoy and support a wide range of sports including motorsport (like us) as opposed to those who think that 'sport' begins and ends with a much narrower definition (athletics, football etc.).
Personally, I have no interest in the Olympic Games and rather resent the cost and disruption that will ensue but we live in a free country (unlike Bahrain but that's another subject ) and it will give tens of thousands of people pleasure but it should not be used as an excuse for depriving others of freedom of movement or expression.
I might watch the female volleyball on television, if it doesn't clash with the Jeremy Kyle show.

Al, it's not just motor sport. The item on HIGNFY showed a Greek cafe in London that hadf been called Cafe Olympic for some years, and has just painted over the "O" to comply!

The copyright is to stop chancers like me printing a load of hooky T-Shirts with the rings and the word "Olympic". It's all down to money of course.

I loved HIGNFY pixellating the rings on a public news clip just to prove how stupid it all is!

Just been rained off from 924 prep so am reduced to dreaming about the 360

Obviously a money driven decision but tbh all it does is ensure I won't be spending any of my money on anything Olympic related.

Only Olympic thing I'll be doing is a possible week on a Greek island

Can we get back on track and make this thread purely to talk about the Olly Breakfast Sprint please, I'm asking this for two reasons

1 We should keep on topic

2 Don't antagonise em, they have not been on my back as of yet with it, I have two weeks left then its all over, I don't want to drop my "O" so close xx

S'pose I'd better think about getting back to the nice warm UK and give the Anglebox a coat of looking at if I'm actually "driving round" at Snetterton, well check the oil and pump the tyres up at least and fit the satnav so I know where the track goes as I hav'nt been there for a few years !

Well Gordon I can tell you its the 300 circuit and it is now very different than it was even two years ago.

Wow, just had a look on Youtube it's certainly changed somewhat !
Also seeing that it's a 45min race I hope there's a fuel station and a "greasy spoon" that has been built around the slower part of the circuit !
I'll try and bring some of the gorgeous weather back with me.
