If you can't make the pit lane bigger, just cram more cars in the garages? Not sure how I feel about this really. The article points out the glaring issue with FCY periods, which for the Bahrain races led to about what, a third of the pit stops. It already feels like they are being dragged out so I can see 2-3 lap FCY periods coming in to make sure everyone can pit - which is all getting very IMSA in my opinion. |

it's not just the races where it's a pain in the arse - quite a lot of teams run parallel programmes in free practice when they have two cars to maximise things like tyre wear and fuel data.
like the team managers point out in the article, you also have to allow for practical things like refuelling the rig. and you're right, it's going to get a bit artificial when they're prolonging fcy periods. |

Simple'ish' answer here, park the cars 90 degrees to the pitlane....they go onto dollies and are pointing at 45 degrees at certain races, just point them in the same orientation as the pit garage....youll be able to stack more cars side by side in theory.

DSC has a good rundown of who could be on the grid for 2022.
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2021/...rototypes.html Lots of interesting program options for LMP2 teams with combinations of WEC, ELMS, and IMSA being on the schedule for many. The season starts in just over 4 months time! |

Part of this wider story is the prospect of a single Pro Corvette in WEC next season. A great boost for the class if this happens. |

Since that seems to be the game changer, I really wanted to see that word added tot their statement. As of now, it is only "We are pleased to announce that we will be joining The 2022 WEC season starting in Sebring" Questions below the tweet asking if that meant "Full Season" and "All races" have - so far - remained unanswered. |

Their Insta post contains more info in a second comment. One car for Sebring and Spa. 2 cars at LM. Then number of cars TBC for other rounds post LM. Also mentions '23. |

TBC can mean 1, or 2, or zero.
That's still no confirmation they are in for the full season, is it? It would be if it had been: at least one car for other rounds post LM. Exact number TBC. We'll see if the ACO thinks this is good enough or not. |

Semantics. I think you're looking for an issue that isn't there at this point.

Corvette Racing to split up teams to do WEC and IMSA with one entry a piece.

It feels like they're really pushing the "it's our playground and our rules" this year with Glickenhaus and Vette with one each

To be fair for Corvette, there's really no other place than the WEC to run a full GTE/GTLM spec C8R, since the IMSA car has to be modded to run in GTD Pro.

GT-Am grid could be hefty next season if these new pit arrangements come in.
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2021/...art-2-gte.html Grid getting out towards 40 cars in total potentially. |

Vector Sport wants a piece of the LMP2 action as well.
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2021/...t-in-2022.html Has the ACO had to reject WEC entries in the past due to grid size? It seems that there is a lot of interest for next season, and still no word on expanding the grid size limit. |

G-Drive also re-commit to WEC with Algarve Pro running the car.
Might also need to have a few P2 teams sharing garage space at this rate. |

you’d like to think they’ll start looking at confirmed drivers and contracts in place wouldn’t you?
it’s got to be difficult for teams with drivers ringing up wanting to confirm a seat and the team can’t give them any guarantees. |
